For my taste, this is a larger watch than I expected, not exactly the "dress watch" I would like but more of a bigger, sporty look. My main disappointment is the Miyota 8217 Japanese movement (21,600 vibrations per hour) which is not very accurate by today's standards. Bulova would have been better served here by the Miyota 9015 movement (28,800 vibrations per hour) or the Seiko NH35A movement, typically used by some Invicta and Pagani Design automatic watches. I found this watch to be about 1.5 minutes faster per week, which puts it at a disadvantage to those other movements. It looks very nice (if you like a large dial) and the bracelet is quite long, so it will accommodate all wrist sizes. Most wearers may have to remove 2 or 3 bracelet links to make a good fit.

I have had a self-winding watch in the past and loved how it worked. I was excited to purchase this one. However, it gets quite tiring to have to constantly reset the time on the watch as within 24 hours it is at least a minute fast. I waited too long to return this item so am now stuck with it.

I like Bulova watches and this one doesn’t disappoint. Easy to set and keeps time very accurately. The retro domed crystal and brown dial face are very attractive.
