If you want to buy this for a kids mattress protector DO NOT. We have a 2 year old boy who is potty trained during the day but had a hard time holding his bladder all night. Most nights are great. He has had 3-4 accidents in about 5 months. So we thought that this mattress cover would be ok for a brand new mattress WRONG. It's only happened once but the urine soaks right through. I would not recommend this cover for this situation get something better. Its fine for adults or older kids

I have purchased several different mattress pads like this, all claim waterproof but not accurate. It seems like once these kind are washed, they are no longer waterproof. I wish I could find one that truly lives up to its name!

This is not waterproof, this is just a cover but will not stop water. I feel like I was mislead. Once I opened it, I could tell that this would not stop water from getting on your mattress. Please do not buy this brand. I returned it right away and will go to Target to get one that actually works.Follow up to my review. The vendor contacted me to offer a $10 Amazon card if I would take down my review. I did not take them up on this. This probably means a lot of negative reviews have been removed for this product. Spend more money on a real water proof cover.

Don’t trust the bad reviews! Mine 100% works! My son has peed multiple times through his diaper he’s 3 but we’re working on training right now! It’s been tough having to wash his sheets more often but I’m thankful this mattress protector actually works!!! It has two layers and the bottom layer does protect the mattress. I’ve washed a handful of times and it’s going strong! Will repurchase another so I have a backup! Thank you.

I bought this to put on my 5yo son's bed. Since getting it, he's had one potty accident during the night and recently vomited in bed. Not to be too detailed, but the vomit was substantial and did not seep through to the mattress. It likely would've had I let it sit for awhile, but it worked perfectly by protecting the mattress from immediate fluid contact.I only have one and that night had to put my son back to bed without the protector. I will likely get another one for instances like that when I have to change all his sheets and the mattress protector needs to be washed immediately.
