Taiyo Yuden are the best disks you can find. They are worth the higher price due to their higher quality. I have never had one fail yet.However, the 100 pack that I purchased from Maelo Company arrived rolling around in their shipping container (cardboard box) with no padding or protection. They could easily have been damaged in transit. I published this same review weeks ago only to have it erased after I received a phone call from Maelo trying to get me to modify the comments on the shipping issue. After I declined to change my review, it disappeared from Amazon, and here I am again being asked again to review my purchase!I don't like the fact that I was immediately called at home after posting my original review by the Maelo rep trying to get me to reverse my review in exchange for additional goods or favors (Starbucks coffee certificate, more disks, a favor on my next purchase, etc.)I told him I was not inclined to change a truthful review in exchange for goods or favors- which were essentially a bribe . The original review then disappeared, which makes me want to stop posting reviews altogether if the system here is that corrupt.

Awful, truly awful product quality. Several attempts were made to burn audio CD projects. Had an 80% FAILURE rate. Had to rely on 20 year old T-Y and Mitsui blanks to finish my projects. As usual, they performed flawlessly.Unbelievable. How can CMC sell this, and at a premium price, no less???

I have used Media Supply/TY CDRs for decades and they are definitely the best blank discs available. I am disappointed that Media Supply no longer ships single 100 packs to individuals. I just don't have room to store six 100 packs, so I overpaid to get these. Maybe MS will have compassion on us music fanatics and sell us a reasonably priced 100 pack!

Disks are great. They print well. I did, however, expect them to come on a covered hub, which they did not. The plastic wrap ripped, spilling some disks, when I took them out of the box. Probably my fault for not reading the description completely.

I got a stack of these CDs for using while DJing. I don't need a fancy printer for my CDs but wanted something with no logos so I could write on the whole surface. Other than that, they are a standard CD-R. They have worked well and I haven't had any error CDs from the entire stack.The Pros: No logos on the CD surface, reasonable price; no error CDsThe Cons: as with any CD, they get a scratch and they skipOverall: If you aren't making CDs for production, these are a great CD and can be labeled with a permanent marker very easily.

I do stand-up comedy for a living. [...] I also have broadcast production background. I produce CDs and DVDs for comedians. I frequently need to mass duplicate their CDs & DVDs so they can sell them to the public. I have used other CD & DVD brands in the past, but Taiyo Yuden is the best! Taiyo Yuden CDs & DVDs work in every CD or DVD player. When duplicating with them, you never get a coaster. They're guaranteed to work. No recording artist wants their fan to go home with a CD or DVD that doesn't work. It's hard enough to make fans. You don't want to lose one with a faulty CD or DVD To prevent that, get Taiyo Yuden.

The disks that weren't damaged are great, but these disks didn't come in the usual plastic disk container... they are only shrink-wrapped together, and because the carton that they arrived in had virtually no padding in it, and because the carton was crushed when it arrived, I wound up throwing away many disks. VERY poor packinging from the manufacturer, poor packaging from Amazon, and poor handling by the freight company that delivered them. The package arrived on time, which is the only positive thing about this order.

I would have liked to have known that this package was tape-wrapped only, with no spindle or protective cover. Item arrived with a split in the tape part-way around the package, but I am hoping there is little or no hidden damage and that I don't have to toss too many discs. If I didn't need these now I'd return them.If you are going to buy this type of package, you might want to keep your old spindles because once you open the tape there's nothing to keep the discs from sliding off the stack, falling to the floor, and rolling, like the Good Times, to New Orleans.ZERO stars to the shipping dep't: Discs were packed on their side with ZERO padding top and bottom. I'm surprised the damage wasn't worse.
