Although not hard of hearing, my hearing has declined with age. I have no problem hearing with this headset.

Q: 1. Can you swing the boom around to switch from left ear to right ear and back? 2. Is this comfortable to wear for hours and stay on your head

Yes you can use it on either ear. I haven't worn it for hours, maybe an hour at the most, but it was comfortable. Comes in handy if I get a call while I am cooking or something, and I can talk and still finish what I was doing.

No, you cannot record calls with the unit.

Q: Will the jack fit into a mofi battery case over my iPhone 6s

No, it will not fit into your phone because of a mofi battery case. Normally, this headset is compatible with iPhone 6s.
