Aten Technologies UC232A USB to DB9 Serial Adapter

I tried 4 USB serial adapters before I found a recommendation for this in a user forum. It works perfectly on a Mac running Windows 7 with Universal Remote, Global Cache & Crestron programming software. Other adapters I tried either wouldn't work with a particular software or device or were not W7 compatible. Good job ATEN.

Nice product. It works well, however, with some software written for windows XP running on windows 10, it caused this software to crash.Good product, nonetheless.

This is a cable/interface I always wanted as a service engineer - since notebooks are not fitted with a RS-232 port anymore during the latter part of last decade. I finally got one and was very happy with the build quality and functionality of this RS-232/DB9 - USB converter. While living in Australia - shipment was also very quick.

I purchased this after looking at the USB FAQ for opensolaris. It worked right away and I was able to use kermit to connect to my old ultra 60. his adapter was just what i needed. I have an old Tester with a new computer which wasn't going to work but the adapters made it easy.

Works well. Especially with the Siemens Simovert drives at work. No blue screen of death like I had with the recommended adapter.

lets me auto configure when in rslinx and can easily log on using rslogix 500. anyone who needs a rs232 port on newer computers get this!

This one does. I have a Belkin which can Blue Screen my machine. This is so well known that Microsoft seems to know about this. You find this out after the Blue Screen. MSoft directs you to a site for a fix. The site is no longer up. Not MSoft's fault.The Aten has worked where others do not. Particularly with Crestron equipment.
