Flags
My 4 year old grandson went to the soccer World Cup games. He was amazed at all the flags. He came home and began drawing flag. The book helped him in naming and drawing his flags

Cute concept
Had really hoped South Africa would’ve been included. Instead for R it was Russia and for S it was Spain. I get it, we don’t hear much about RSA at all in US news. Either way, it was a cute concept to help little ones learn about countries and flags.

Only few countries (Just enough for the alphabet).
If your child wants to learn the flags this is not the book. Not enough words to learn to read too.

Cheap looking, poorly put together
I do not recommend this book, especially for the price. It is thoughtlessly put together and looks very cheap. Even the QR code/UPC on the back are slightly blurry. In terms of the actual content, I don’t know why they decided to do pointed banners, and not flags. To me, it can confuse kids as to the concept of a flag, which is almost always rectangular. Even worse, only one country is randomly picked for each letter of the alphabet. To add to the confusion, there are three things in the book for each country; they include a picture of the flag (again in banner form with a pointed triangular end); a small table with fast facts, including the capital, population, and official language; and an image of the country as it would appear on a map. Incredibly, each is on a separate page! This has the effect of showing the flag and the facts for each country, and then you have to turn the page to see the picture of that country. Now of course, that means the country image is often next to the next country’s flag! What?!?It seems like this book was just quickly thrown together without any thought. There is no way it is worth $2 or $3 let alone $12.Avoid. There are better options.
