Demerara Sugar (1.75 lb) Raw Brown Sugar, Product of Mauritius | 28 oz

We really like Demera sugar. My relatives have started to use it. This brand has great taste. We have tried several other brands but this the best we have found.

I discovered this sugar at my grocery market and just love the rich caramel flavor. Once I tasted this sugar in my coffee, I was dissatisfied with all the others. It is also wonderful in plain yogurt and sprinkled over berries to bring out the flavor. Unfortunately, my grocer runs out of it every now and then and the manager doesn't know when the next shipment will come in. Fortunately, I found it on Amazon so I can stock up.

It is the best sugar for making cocktail syrup. It also is very good for making homemade, low sugar lemonade. You can use less and still get a great lemonade.

I use this demerara for tiki drink and boy does it make an incredible syrup. This is the first time a rich syrup has made a significant noticeable difference. Not overwhelmingly molasses-y like some sugars, this instead has a rich almost natural earthy flavor (not dirt, but just a rich warmness) that goes great in a Mai Tai. Sugar is high quality packaged too, was fresh and moist and crumbled easily unlike many sugars that are dried out in the package.

Had no clue where to get this sugar, found it here and it mixes well and is of good quality.

Item is a little bit pricey but I was so glad to find it on Amazon. I ran into it by accident in my local store and I've been searching for four months thereafter and was unable to do so. Again I am so glad that I relocated here on Amazon wish it was a little cheaper.

I put this in a container my last brown sugar came in. It doesn’t pour well. However, it is a beautiful color and tastes good.

Makes a great simple syrup and does not cost as much as some of the other brands on here.
