Excellent Means to Verify Ignition Spark
The S and G Tool Aid 23970 In-Line Spark Checker Kit for Recessed Plugs does exactly what it claims. The various components provided in the kit adapt to a variety of mechanical situations and ofter flexibility for use on a wide range of equipment. I bought it to use with my 4-cycle engine on my Pressure Washer. The spark is easy to see, even in moderate lighted areas. I didn't try it in bright sunlight and would not expect that to be a good viewing opportunity. The cardboard shipping box didn't hold up well during tansit, but it will suffice. Of all the different types of "spark testers" I researched, this appear to be the better of the inexpensive units. I am quite satisfied with its performance.

Works great
Very nice. Works great especially fitting in cylinders where the plug is pretty deep. Would definitely buy again

Works on plus with nipples. Does not work on plugs with thin, threaded connector

Solved Nissan P1320 Code
Was trying to diagnose why my 1995 Maxima was missing at idle and bucking under load. I got a P1320 code which indicates the ignition circuit. Replaced crank sensors and ignition condenser, which did not solve the issue. So I bought this kit to see if it could identify the problem. The instructions were a little weak, but here's the sequence I followed:1. Disconnect the electrical connector from the coil.2. Unscrew and pull out the coil from the cylinder.3. Insert the skinny end of the orange tube onto the recessed spark plug.4. Insert the test light end into the removed coil.5. Insert the orange plug with brass connector into the finned end of the tube.6. Reconnect the electrical connector to the coil which will just lay on top.7. Start the engine and see if there's a consistent pulsing orange spark.8. Replace coil and then test them all the same way one-by-one.On mine, the results became apparent as soon as I tested #5, which was only putting out a barely noticeable spark. Replacing that coil with a new one solved the problem immediately. So for $20.00 this kit was a good investment.
