Good product

These are sticks. Just as stick-y and stick-like as described in the description about their stick-ness. Make no mistake, these are sticks. Not dowels, or rods ... sticks.

My only problem was with who they used for shipping. Several of my items I have bought have been delayed or missing (this is the husband) . I suggest company find a different shipper. From now on anything delayed I am returning.

I needed this size dowel for a project and thought the price looked good. When they came in I was a bit disappointed as they are made of some kind of soft wood? I'm sorry but it could be that I didn't know what Balsa was but the description says that these are "hardwood". They are not! They are the correct size for my projects but too soft to use. You can cut these with scissors but the ends bend or squeeze together when you do and it looks like they are a little hollow inside. When I cut them with my mini miter saw it's a bit better but not by much. In the pic the one on the bottom was cut with scissors and the one on top was cut with a mini miter saw.I ended up purchasing something else.So sorry.

So helpful for miniatures. Soft wood, easy to carve or cut.PROS: Great value; most need minimal sanding; very easy to cut; they’re extremely lightweight; they paint and glue really well.CONS: They’re so soft they’ll be hard to use in some miniature builds. Some are almost as soft as cork—they are NOT hardwood. You can sand the edges round very easily/accidentally.That being said I’ve bought them several times now.

Perfect, for framing for chinese lanterns for center pieces.

My jewelers saw cuts through these sticks like butter. Stick length is consistent, but some sticks aren’t perfectly straight or square. Also, some sticks have significant chips in them that make them unusable for my 1/24 scale structures. Only about 5% of the sticks have significant flaws though. Overall, I’m satisfied and would buy these again.
