I ordered it for my daughter. It is inconspicuous but I worry about the potency of the shock. And how long would it be effective? I do not know. my daughter lives in New York. She needs it.

Although the battery indicator said it was fully charged, it didn’t work. As a test I pluggedw it in for a few hours to see if it was really charged, and while the lights still showed was fully charged, it still didn’t work. I returned it for a refund.

WOW! I haven’t used this on a person (or anything else) but the sound and the lightning flash upped my confidence a lot. Mine is blue, clips onto my pocket or purse and after a few tries to make sure I have the switches in the right position to turn on the light or the REAX stun gun. I know how far you'd get if you depend on it. I can't depend on it alone.It makes an intimidating sound. I found that if your going to use it, don't go without something else. I was very curious so I decided to try it on myself. In order for some effect, you have to push it into the body. I did that on my leg and it felt like a sharp pain. I'm not sure how long the power would last if you need to use it but I'd bet the perp could outlast the taze. I'm going to call my local PD for advice of one I can depend on. Take care. Small, recharges from usb in the car, looks like a large pen, good light. Inconspicuous. Does not look offensive, did not put my finger in front to try it and a won't.
