Muy buen producto.
Muy buen producto, lo compré desde Chile y solo fue necesario ponerle un adaptador para usarlo. Muy buen sonido en llamadas, muy contenta con el producto.

It works!
Phone has done wonders for my 90 year old hearing impaired Mom. She's now able to hear conversations without getting frustrated.

Lots of stuff to set up...
I bought this 1 bc it seemed to be a good choice for seniors, and it does have a very loud ring, and large numbers. We just got it so don't know how it'll hold up. Our only complaint is that the setting up is kind of complicated, we pretty much gave up.

Great phone!
Easy to set up and announces callers. We like the larger numbers and ability to increase the volume.

Bought from my elderly neighbor
My neighbor recently went into a nursing home and was finding it difficult to use their phone with a small buttons and she couldn’t hear out of the phone. This phone is easy to program easy for her to use for her to recognize and not a whole lot for her to mess up, so much for making it she loves it

Will not connect with hearing aids or high end bluetooth earpiece
I am doing a edit to my review after a few mounts of use.... The phone works but after emails to Panasonic I have changed my review on this phone. The reason I have taken it down to one star is you can hook up only a low end bluetooth headset and this I find ridiculous for a phone like this. I have a business Sennheiser bluetooth I can hear on with amazing sound etc but it will not hook up with this phone correct and Panasonic will not change this. I will never use a panasonic bluetooth we have two in the house and they are / sound like trash when on the road and I cant hear well on them on this phone.Issue two with this phone this phone is for hearing impaired people so why can't we hook up our hearing aids to it in 2018? Hooking up a cell phone nice idea but also silly when you can download a Free App to up the volume on a cell phone. I would much rather hook up my hearing aids but no so at this point this phone is not being used at all. I make all my calls out on my cell phone with my hearing aids. Or use my Sennheiser bluetooth with the Volume boost App on my cell phone. So after owning this phone for a few months big wast of money for me as I cant connect a high end blue tooth or hearing aids so I will not buy again.

Good for the elderly
Picked up this set for my elderly Mom, she had a old panasonic set that she had constant issues with(hearing/static/ lost calls, her numb fingertips would hit buttons, yikes). No problems with this new set and I waited a month before reviewing. I do not know if it is due to the deeper/fatter hand piece or the shape of the ear cup, whichever, it is working.. Maybe it is the DECT, wavelenght thing that solved it. Probably all of these things is what makes it better for the elderly.I am not a expert, she is not using any of the extra features, she just needed a phone that works and this is it.

Thorough review of Black Bluetooth model
Enjoying this phone so far after a few weeks.PROS: 1) Instant call block. (For those confused by the erroneous manual, this phone doesn't have a physical "BLOCK" key as stated. You block calls via the display as the phone rings.) 2) Rounded, indented earpiece with more sound holes than usual; this is kind of an old-fashioned design that conforms to the ear comfortably and, I believe, helps a bit with hearing. 3) Slow Talk function works reasonably well. I've already used it on calls with faster talkers - especially customer service reps with foreign accents at call centers. It's not hugely noticeable (which is good), but it helps a little. 4) Backlit & Talking keypad is wonderful. Having poor eyesight, I've always wanted a phone on which the numbers speak when I press them. This feature is off by default; turn it on! 5) Large, easy to read display with the time & date being the default display as it sits in the cradle. 6) I love the Tone control. Several variations of EQ, quickly switched by a button on the top side, that can help with hearing the other person, depending on their voice & phone quality. I typically go through the tone variations on calls until I find one or more that make that particular caller's voice easier to hear.CONS: 1) Can't synch the same musical ring tone between the handset & base. The base doesn't HAVE any musical ring tones. For example, the handset has a great "2001 Theme" that I use, but that melody is not on the base options, so I have 2 clashing rings on incoming calls. Turning down or off the base ringer also turns down or off the Talking Caller ID, which I need on at full volume. Therefore I really can't use the musical ring tones on the handset; I have to use the standard, boring rings that the base also has, so they both match. Colossal screw-up by the designers. If you're going to put in musical melodies as ring tones, have them on BOTH the handset & base, so that when the phone rings, you hear just the one melody! Otherwise they're worthless. 2) At this extravagant price point, and with only one phone included, the base should've included its own display & keypad, as many AT&T and other phones in this price range often have. Panasonic disappointingly cheaped out on that. The base unit is nothing special, believe me, other than the flashing red light when the phone rings. 3) The location of the volume buttons on the side is only slightly above where your thumb naturally goes as you hold the phone; I frequently hit the Volume Down button accidentally. I had this problem with previous Panasonic phones. Just amazing they haven't learned, after all these years, NOT to put large important buttons in the exact place where you hold the phone! They should either relocate these buttons or recess them so your thumb won't be hitting them so often.Handset is slightly heavier than most; I like that, it's sturdily built. Regarding the Bluetooth functionality, it recognized my cell easily. However, I don't have service on my cell currently, so I can't give you feedback on how well it connects when using it to make or receive calls with the Panasonic.Overall it's my favorite phone I've ever owned. I typically send things back on Amazon that I think I won't be more than, say, 80% happy with (90% for expensive items like this), and I'm keeping this. It has some annoyances as I mentioned, but I can live with those. It's nice to have a good-looking phone with several functions I actually USE, such as call block and talking keypad, that also has various ways to help me to hear people more clearly. Bottom line, you have to pay the too-high price to get all these features.UPDATE: Just had a 4 hour conversation with a very quiet talker on her Iphone 7. I could barely hear her at first. Perfect opportunity to really put this phone's features to work. I kept changing the tone control as she spoke; got some relief there, but not for long. Had to keep going through them for a lot of the conversation; one EQ setting would work for a while then I'd have to switch to another. I couldn't find one good setting to keep it on. I then kicked in the Boost for the first time. It raised the volume level adequately at the default settings of 15 to 18, but at higher settings it was ear-splittingly shrill and had to be turned down. I left it on 18 for the rest of the conversation and it worked pretty well. She was louder, but not clearer; I still had to keep changing tone settings frequently to try to enhance her clarity. I eventually put her on speaker, which worked well; I could hear her fine & vice versa. A concerning thing happened though; we were suddenly disconnected. I checked the battery; it was half gone but okay (so from that you can determine that 4 straight hours of chatting with Boost enabled depletes a fully charged battery by a little more than half.) She swore it was not her phone, which she's very used to & says it does not randomly disconnect. If it was mine, which seems likely, I don't know why it happened. I was directly next to the base. Nothing unusual happened; I was right in the middle of a sentence, there was a loud click and she was gone. Overall, I'd rate the features I used in the chat 3 stars out of 5. I just *couldn't* get the clarity I was hoping for, even with the phone pressed hard against my ear the whole time, but I did get the extra volume, and was able to hear her better by constantly adjusting the tone settings to try to match her voice quality at any given time. (This was a big pain - but with a normal talker, you wouldn't have to mess with it so much.) But I think of it this way: without these features, using some other phone, I probably wouldn't have been able to hear her at all.UPDATE 2: Having had several more conversations, I've experienced a couple more random disconnections. It has nothing to do with the battery charge or distance from the base unit. I can go 2-3 hours, then it suddenly decides to disconnect. In the most recent call, it did it again minutes after the person called me back from the first disconnect. I've removed the phone lines from my surge protector in case that was the problem. I'll see if this helps, over time. Also, I don't think too much of the BOOST feature. I've used it several times, it always has the same effect: boosts the voice & line noise, but doesn't help clarity. I do love most of the features of the phone, but it doesn't help much with hearing other people clearly.
