Had a Remington (at nearly twice the price) before buying this. Although the Remington has a quality feel, it proved temperamental throughout its one-year life. The motor just didn't seem to be up to the job as it kept cutting out. I should point out that this was not due to excessively long hair growth as I used it, usually daily or every other day.Getting back to this machine, I have been using it daily for 5-6 weeks now. It gives a reasonably close shave. For me I'd say it takes around 5 minutes to get a good close shave. Obviously it can't match an open blade, but I'm more than happy. So far, no performance issues. Maintenance is quite straightforward and I tend to clean it after each use. Battery life is good. The electronic indicator of remaining batty life is is very good. When it arrived, it was already fully charged. Check and make sure that it is fully charged before first use (remaining use indicator will show 90 minutes. Don't leave it to overcharge; as soon as you notice that it's reached 90 minutes unplug it.For the price, this has proven to be a good buy. I hope it continues to perform as well over the coming months.

does a good job of shaving my hair, and provides a very close shave. i tried to very carefully use it on my neck upon reading other reviews, but the skin is too sensitive and it left quite the razor burn. note that i am of the female variety and thus have no need to use it on my face, so it may be fine for that area too, but i would not know.really easy to clean. battery life is quite long. i've only used it a handful of times and it's still on it's first charge. comes charged out of the box which is always nice. glad i bought this as it makes shaving your head far quicker and simpler than using traditional clippers or a regular razor.

I shave my head and my beard, but not often, for 2 reasons.My skin hurts if I shave too often, and I have peripheral neuropathy (numbness, tingling, lack of sensation in my hands and fingers). Holding a conventional wet razor is not easy, and a shave often ends up with blood everywhere! This one seems ok to hold, especially when doing the back of my head, where previously I'd fumble the blade and slice my skin!SO I decided to try one of these things. I'd used electric razors tears ago, but this one said it could be used as a wet shave, which I couldn't do before!Anyway, I tried it today.I used shaving cream, and did my head first. I did it with my hair quite long (3mm?). It wasn't bad, took a few passes, but got there in the end. The closeness of the shave was nowhere near as good as with the wet shave, leaving it feeling like the morning after a shave (my hair grows quick!), but it is good enough, and I didn't cut the back of my head by fumbling a bladed razor.I moved onto my beard, but this time I buzzed it first with my clippers to a bare blade length. I used cream again. This time it was slightly closer, with the exception of my silver hairs. Those ones are a bit tougher, and seemed to catch a lot. But it did the job again, quite well. A few passes to complete the job.I did have to clean it 3 times during my shaving. And that was fiddly, especially the middle cutting element. It's not easy when your fingers don't obey commands! The instructions are not so clear in this bit, either.Anyway, to sum up, yes... I would recommend, for the price, it did a good job. It works for me, given my problems with the hands. But there are shortcomings, but they are not deal-breakers.

I’ve been using this every 2-3 days for a month now, and no issues so far. It’s not quite as close as a wet shave, so my bald head needs shaving more often than a wet shave. However, it is so much quicker and convenient.The rotary design and large cutting head makes it easy to use, and ergonomically it is perfect in the handThe digital readout of remaining time is useful, the battery seems to last and charge time is good.It is easy enough to clean, and I think that as long as it’s oiled once a week it should last a few years. If you’re a baldie who likes a skinhead haircut, this is a perfect, hassle free tool.

Not very good. Doesn’t hold charge. Doesn’t cut well. Not much use.

I have delayed writing a review as I wanted to see how the shaver suited me.Previously used the five blade version and 'upgraded' to this six blade model.This shapes to the skull much more easily and is very comfortable to use. Fits into the hand and is surprisingly lightweight . Charges in no time at all, quiet in use. Have not tested in wet usage. The shaver head cleans simply under a hot tap.(Could probably do without all of the alternative attachments - only need to shave my head)This is excellent value for the price paid, have in the past had a big brand razor at more than four times the cost, but no better than this one. Highly recommended.

I haven't used a head shaver before, having previously used a razor, this is definitely quicker and more convenient. It was never going to be as close as a razer but it does a reasonable job on your head, and is useable on your face but not great, which is fine as that's not it's primary function. Battery stated at 90 minutes from full, and it may last, but I'm down to about 50% now and have noticed a definite drop in power so it's probably worth keeping the battery topped up. Although it has 6 heads, the central head does most, if not all, of the heavy lifting while the outer ring seems largely ineffectual. Happy enough with it as a first time/experimental purchase, but will probably spend a bit more when the time comes to replace it.
