Easy to put down, protects carpet and easy to remove
Had new windows in shortly after new carpets in the hall / stairs / landing and needed to protect the carpet. This was easy to put down. The cutting tool that comes with it works well if the sheet is kept taut, I switched to using scissors mid way through for ease.Worked very well on the stairs. For turns in the stairs I did each step separately with a slight overlap and there was no problems.Window fitters loved it and it stood up well to nearly a week of solid walking in boots.Taking it up at the end was simply rolling it up - no stickiness on the carpet and no marks even in the high traffic area by the front door.Extremely impressed with this, especially on the stairs.

Efficient product - slightly difficult to install
I am using rhis to protect carpet from all the mess of the wallpaper removal process. Seems to be very sturdy and indeed water resistant. I have struggled to install it, especially on the edges, which is mainly due to the awkward angles, the product sticking to itself and making it hard to move in the placement I needed, also the cutter tool they give you is handy but again not so seamless to use. It is worth mentioning I have no experience with any of this, nor have I ever used a similar product to be able to say how it compares, so it's not to say that this particular carpet protector is difficult to install, but maybe it's the nature of the product and also my limited experience as perhaps a professional would have an easier time using it. All in all, it does do the job well and has good quality. I hope once I remove it from the carpets it won't leave a sticky residue, so might have to update my review once I take them off.

Excellent carpet protector, suitable for professional use
As a professional painter and decorator, I use this type of product regularly and have tried several brands. This is definitely my favourite. It doesn’t adhere to itself as readily as some brands and so is easier to apply. I used my Stanley knife to cut it rather than the supplied cutter, just because that’s how I’m used to doing it. Putting the stuff down definitely takes a bit of practice so if you’ve not applied it before, maybe order a bit over what you think you’ll need so that you’ve got margin for error.I always assess the floor before I start, to decide which direction to go etc. This avoids ending up in a tricky corner. Try to take it slow and keep it straight, using the skirting board or furniture as a guide. This carpet protector does allow the use of a ladder/hop up without holes appearing…most of the time. I have had the odd tear but just patch over it with a bit of masking tape and it’s fine. I find that it stays in place well for the week that I need it to whilst redecorating a customer’s room. It’s also better for hall, stairs and landing than dust sheets because it’s less of a trip hazard. If you’re laying it on the stairs, make sure you bring into the back edge of each tread otherwise it’ll get in the way when you’re walking upstairs.Make sure you vacuum thoroughly before laying it because if you don’t, the dust will stick to the adhesive rather than the carpet and the film will be loose. When removing the film, I find it best to pull a small amount at a time to stop it from pulling the carpet off its moorings. I roll it up as I go so that it doesn’t take up too much room in the bin.The only thing that I don’t like about it is that it doesn’t have a separate piece of non-sticky film to protect it. This is useful because you can just peel it off, save it and wrap the roll back up when you’re done. This one has its non sticky bit attached to the roll so you have to do a bit of juggling to cut it off and put to one side. It’s not a massive issue though and this product is now my ‘go-to’ carpet protector.

Not delivered to the house
Product is fine but Amazon need to make sure their employees deliver to the door not leave it at the bottom of the lane the box is for post office only not for work shy delivery drivers

Not so easy roll that destroys your carpets
I really willed this item to work without hitch and carefully reviewed a few brands looking for the best for my carpets whilst having some work done. The item looks the part and is of good quality with good adhesive, it's also supplied with a small cutter for easy application. The sad part is the unrolling though, 3 of us tried to lay this and faced a stressful, argumentative battle with the roll. Like cling film that gets stuck on the roll whilst unwinding we had this experience not just once but 3 times on the roll. Each time spending what seemed an eternity to carefully pick away at it to unravel the uneven areas and even out the full roll again. This was painfully slow and frustrating as well as taking away more product for waste instead of it being usable for the floor. That alone was off-putting but it wasn't the only bad point; we had issues with it curling at the corners and Golding over sticking onto itself frequently during application so the actual install looked a botched disgrace. The final result is the reason for the 1 star and that is because when it came up after use it pulled my carpet threads up and not just 1 or 2 but whole areas causing us to take drastic action and have to cut away parts of our expensive carpet from its loose threads in the surface this roll made. I'm in 2 minds whether to make a claim for a replacement carpet from this company as we've had damage and headache with it from the first use. I can't recommend based on experience but hope the seller resolves the issues and contacts us to try and resolve the damages carpets. Photos attached of some areas despite peeling it back gently.

works for what it is
not the easiest stuff to lay, easy to fold over by mistake and stick together, its like heavy duty wide sellotape! it catches paint drips ok but you need to wipe them up straight away as it is non absorbent and its easy to walk on a blob of paint ant deposit it elsewhere having said that it does protect but no better than a cloth dust sheet, I used it purely as the persons house I was decorating uses a wheelchair so a soft covering was no good as access was required at all times
