Good book with interesting case studies on Machinery Vibration Analysis
I purchased and received this book on 30 May. This is an excellent book with cases studies highlighting various machinery problems. Most of these were studied with vibration analyzers that were popular during the period 1980-2000. Author has taken pains to present the material in a structured way. A case study on the Static Couple balancing helps to achieve results without help of sophisticated two plane balancing software. The analysis part of each case study opens up knowledge windows to a beginner in vibration analysis as well as to a seasoned analyst.I was also using the IRD make analyzers along with Strobe light during 1987-95.The quality of the book is excellent in terms of both print and paper.Rs.500 price for the wealth of information provided is an irresistible offer. Its just the cost of a couple of Pizzas. My sincere thanks to the author Sri. Debasis Bhattacharyya for sharing his knowledge with his fellow vibration analysts across the globe.By....Subba Rao Ganti, Category IV Vibration Analyst.

Vibration basics are explained well and can understand easily.
1. Author has explained more of practical case studies with problem solving techniques.2. Balancing techniques are explained to understand easily by using 1X Displacement and phase. (particularly Vertical motor balancing, PA and FD fans balancing)3. Bearing failure symptoms, relevant ISO standards, electrical problems in HT motors are explained with the practical cases.4. Overall this book will be very helpful for condition monitoring engineer (specially for Power plant professionals). Thank you Mr Debasis.RegardsGurusamy TA

Simple, full of learning, and very useful guide to practicing engineers
Vibration Analysis is one of the most popular ( yet least understood techniques) in the field of predictive maintenance. This book bridges the gap between theory and hands on learning in a very simple, lucid language with dollops of case studies, which makes the whole learning process easier and interesting.A must read for anyone entering the field with open mind and desire to learn comprehensively. A must have kit for practicing engineers in the field.

EXCELLENT REFERENCE BOOK FOR FIELD ENGINEERS
I am a long time maintenance professional dealing with rotating equipment maintenance. Everyday we are dealing with different problems of machine vibration in our profession. If I had this book in my early stage of career, I could have solved many problems more quickly. Young mechanical engineers specially who are working as maintenance engineers will find this book immensely helpful. It will systematically guide you to find right solution. Great compilation of a field expert.
