as someone who cares about the small details of products, I was happy with this
I wasn't sure about this since there weren't too many reviews and it costs more than the other products. the only two complaints I have is that the plastic cord covers feel cheaply made... and brittle, but if you are careful they won't break. the other complaint is that there are these little pearlescent screw head covers with adhesive on the one side and a shiny silver plastic on the other side. There are just enough to cover all the exposed phillips screw heads. However, these little adhesive things are just a tad too big for the holes they are supposed to fit into so they constantly fall off, in fact when I opened the box they were littered around the box and it took me a minute to figure out what they were supposed to be. Very minor issue especially because the bulk of my arm is hidden behind my laptop and monitor.now for the arm, the material is not cheap, it's smooth aluminum with black plastic trim. the arm itself can be adjusted and is holding my 29" ultra wide Asus just fine - it weighs 18lbs. it can easily be rotated etc. I've posted pictures showing it in various positions and showing the silly screw cap covers. In most of the pics my monitor is in the highest position. Installation is easy... there are two options - one is a clamp that goes around the back of your desk while the other clamp drops through a hole in your desk. Monitor is very stable - doesn't really wobble much or anything. Some people are complaining that their stands wobble, but a lot of that is probably related to the desk they have it one, mine is heavy wood and thick steel pipes that I built so it's study.

It works! Some comments though...
First and foremost it works! I admit I was hesitant... I know it says 20lb limit... but I wasn't sure it could really take that. I've got a 32" Dell monitor that weighs over 18lbs without the stand. It does the job though...and even somehow hides the godly number of cables running to the monitor. With that out of the way - I do wish there were a few changes to it though.Wish list changes though...1. the 180 Degree bracket that lets your monitor swing side to side based on the arm position... when it's at a perfect 90.. I still wish it had a little more wiggle room to adjust... maybe make it a 200 degree stop point.2. On the lower section of the arm - I wish the cable run was a little deeper. I've got power, DVI, HDMI, 2 USB component, USB C... and they all just barely fit with two cables not held in the interior clip section. If I ever run the final HDMI to the monitor... I'm not entirely sure I can get the storage/hiding cover back in place.3. The little back plate for running cables... same as the lower arm cable section... again this is a nice feature and it really keeps the cables together... but I'm maxing out room in it already. Again wish this was just a little more room.Overall though - great arm. Gives me space on the desk and finally raises my monitor to eye level.

Sturdy and well built, but not so tall
This is a solid monitor motion arm and assembly and setup we just fine. I've got a big wide Dell 34" monitor and it holds it just fine. The wire management features are also very nice. Three tips for the buyer here. 1) it comes with the adjustable tension spring in a pretty relaxed state, you have to really tighten it a lot in order for it to hold a large monitor. i.e. at least 8 or 10 turns on the tension screw with the provided allen wrench. 2) Turn this screw Counter Clockwise to tighten. 3) MOST IMPORTANTLY: This arm may NOT raise your monitor high enough for standing use of your screen, depending on your personal height and viewing angle preferences of course. At full extension the center of my monitor is only about 21" above the desk.

after tightening the adjustments for the clamp - it works great. I recommend it
Overall, after tightening the adjustments for the clamp - it works great. I recommend it.Use: Display on laptop broke, so I have an end table (fairly solid) that now holds the laptop (think now desktop) and I clamped this desk mount to the end table and put a monitor on it so that it reaches over as I sit on the couch and watch TV. With the range of the mount - it extends far enough and works great.Pros:The table clamp works. I put pieces of plywood under and on top of the table to help protect the surface and distribute the force / stress. It extends as advertised. Works great..After tightening the adjustments, holds its position. Even fully extended. The monitor is attached / removed with a snap. Makes installation easier.Has solid feel, seems well built, well designed.Cons:One cable holder snaps on, the old slides on. The instructions were unclear and I broke the bottom cable holder thinking it was a snap when it actually slides. I subtracted a star due to unclear instructions. Think of it as removing a half star.Notes about shipping / seller:It arrived as expected. There was a small puncture in the box, but did not affect product.Have been using it for about

Well designed and built
This mount works well with a 24" iMac, light load, but is very sturdy. The tilt adjustment was tricky but once adjusted it has worked well for a year now without further adjustment. Plus it looks great
