Sat in the variable fall conditions of SW Alaska (rain, wind, sun, hot, cold) and was very thankful for this coat. It kept me dry from above and has a very smooth feel to it while being durable. The length never hindered movement like a longer coat could and I liked the length as I sat down and had a dry backside. As mentioned the coat is not breathable but I'm a layers guy so I paid attention to what I was wearing for what I was doing (hiking vs sitting). I'd highly recommend this coat!
