My lifetime nail-biting habit finally caught up with me last year when I chipped my front tooth. My molars are also flat from years of jaw clenching. My dentist applied a composite but within a few months I broke it. I tried the bitter nail polish, but it wasn’t a strong enough deterrent, so, after applying a second composite, my dentist recommended a retainer, but they cost hundreds, so I wanted to give this company a chance.Making the impression was easy - I got it right the first time and their support responded quickly to my email, confirming the impression was done correctly. I got my guard in under a week (I live in San Diego, CA, only about two hours from their office). I got the 1mm top option. It fits snug and stays on. There’s a little adjustment period in the beginning to “break it in,” but it’s comfortable and easy to forget I have it in. It’s not that visible, I think you’d have to be face to face with me to notice, and it’s not that strange anymore given the number of adults using products like Invisalign. It not only prevents me from biting my nails (which I often do without even realizing it), but also biting my lips. It’s also helping me remember to relax my jaw. I’m working on reducing my anxiety, but this guard helps ensure I don’t damage my teeth in the meantime. It’s more than worth it for my dental health.

Great product! First, I was told by my dentist that the guards through the dentist were pricey and some clients prefer trying cheaper options through Amazon. I tried the really cheap option (not these) and they were horrible. I then found SweetGuards which appeared to be a better product but on the affordable side compared to their competitors with a great rating. Glad I went ahead with the purchase.Keep in mind that there is a process and you won't have the final guard until you use their kit to make a mold of your teeth, send an email for confirmation, send out the molds, then you get the final product. But that process is worth the final result. You're basically getting what you'd get at the dentist at a fraction of the cost.They send you two molds in case your first impression doesn't come out well. It's good thing because I've never done anything like that before so I had no idea how hard or not hard to press it against the teeth and what the outcome would be. My first came out ok, but I was able to learn from that to go harder on the second pass. What I probably should've done was send that out to their support email first, before proceeding, but it still turned out ok.I was pleasantly surprised to send the email with the pictures of my molds as they instructed and to get a response over the weekend. I thought I'd have to wait till the weekday, to get a response and extend my processing time but I received a quick response and the instructions they were ready to send out.The kit came with everything and well made instructions with visuals. I just found they have a video for making their mold impressions which I wish I had viewed before. So big tip, check out their website for this video.The guards take a little to get used to having something on your teeth but I couldn't stand the cheap ones being in my mouth even for a minute and these I've worn every night for over a month now. It's also not hard to clean in the mornings after use and comes with a convenient case for storing during the day.In summary, it's a great product and great company, I would definitely recommend and purchase again.

This is the place to get a custom-made mouthguard. If you have severe grinding, you will want to order the HARD 3MM guard. It is not flexible at all. The one I ordered covers all the back teeth. I want it that way and it matches the one my dentist made for me ($450, rip-off). The soft guard is flexible and that's not for me. I will chew through that in 3 months.Service is excellent from start to finish. I ordered this on 1/4 and today is 1/17. I have the guard I ordered and an additional guard from them (discounted).Once you get the kit, read the instructions carefully. Wash your hands with soap. Then practice using the trays to fit your mouth. The small one fit my mouth perfectly but that is not what I remember from the dentist. They used the medium one and that is what I did too. The large one didn't fit so I put that aside.You want to make sure your teeth are NOT too close to the edge of the tray. Sadly, I messed up the first two attempts. I contacted customer service and they understood and sent me some more material. Once I got it, I made sure when I pushed down on my teeth, it wasn't near the front of the tray/handle part. Then lift up carefully. The molding material doesn't have an awful taste. It's neutral.Then you rinse with water and let it air try. Take 3 pictures from different angles and email them so they can verify the mold is workable. If yes, they will ask you to complete the order form to send in the mold. If there is any extra material, they will ask you take the same impression again and they will use the best one.Once they got the impression, they made the guard quickly and mailed to me with tracking. I was so impressed with the workmanship and quality, I used their coupon to order directly on the website. Then emailed them the new order number and asked if they can make me a 2nd guard with the impressions on file. I got the 2nd one quickly as well with tracking information. They keep in on file for 1 year. Since our teeth tend to change, it's recommended that after 1 year, you take a new impression.They get back very quickly to you if you email them. The excellent customer service and quality sold me on Sweetguards. What I ordered from Amazon was the soft 3MM guard but for my 2nd guard with coupon savings, I switched to the HARD 3MM guard. I go through a phase where I get tired of wearing the hard guard and that is where the soft one will come in for 1-2 nights before I switch back.The fit of the two guards is excellent.(Note: I am in Southern California and so are they, less time waiting to mail things back and forth)
