MINKA-AIRE F845-DK Light Wave 44 inch Ceiling Fan with LED Light and Remote Control, Brown Distressed Koa Finish

This fan dies seem to make a humming sound using the short rod. The other one we have makes no noise but had longer rod . We love the look of the fan and they have held up well and this is the 3rd one we have purchased to keep adding around our house

I love this fan. I have this model in a larger size in a larger room. I was so pleased I chose the smallest version appropriate for my son’s bedroom square footage. I am again beyond pleased. Minke Aire is whisper quiet, produces a great amount of air flow and is a work of art. My fan was a “second act” purchase and was ranked as “excellent condition” through Amazon. This did not end up being the case. When I contacted the store selling this product they were terrific. Responded quickly and together we came up with a solution that pleased both parties. I would 100% work with this company again and again. Cannot wait for the next purchase!

Love the looks of this fan and I have a similar Minka in another room that works fine. This one has been a pain ever since it was installed. I've contacted the company in the past and got a response but what I was told to do didn't solve my problem, which at the time was either the light or the fan randomly coming on at any hour of the day. I'm only leaving a review now, nearing a year since purchasing, because I'm sitting in my office listening to the annoying noise it's making. It was installed by a qualified electrician and I've had it looked at since the installation. Maybe spending another one or two hundred to have him come back will solve the problem but I seriously doubt it. You've been warned!

I am a huge fan of Minka ceiling fans. Purchased this one for a small bedroom, excellent lighting and the curved blades really product a nice current of air. Not only very attractive, but easy to install and remote works great!

I really like the fan. It looks amazing and works well. My only problems are with the LED lighting.First, the light is built in and so if it dies you have to replace the entire fan. Let's hope it lasts. Secondly, I was kind of disappointed to find out you can't change the color temperature (Kelvin rating) on the light. This is a very simple thing with LED lights and is one of their great advantages over incandescent and fluorescent lighting. I have LED bulbs that cost just a few dollars each that have a simple switch on them to change the color temperature. Why can't this lamp do this? The cost would be next to nothing for Minka. I'd rather just provide my own bulb so I don't have to replace the entire lamp when the light eventually fails.Contrary to some other reviewers, the lamp DOES have a dimmer. Just hold down on one of the light buttons and it'll cycle thru the range of brightness. Not sure why there are two buttons. They appear to do the exact same thing.

That is fan making noise, not me😊 Actually, fan is looking good and working well, except one caveat. Yes, of course, it is making nasty humming sound that we all can hear from different parts of the house. The manufacturer’s mantra that the hum should go away after 24 hrs of operation does not work. So I chatted with Amazon rep to develop plan of corrective actions, and he conveniently sent me to the seller. Seller was very quick to respond, and they sent me to Minka, the manufacturer, providing me with their tech.support 800 number from Google. As expected, the Minka lady was also very kind to offer me a free return through Amazon. Well, dah, I knew that. But the kind lady offered me an option of free capacitor that presumably stood behind the hum. However, I would have to replace that little black box by myself if I’m skilled in the art of ceiling fans. Of course, I’m a master of ceiling fans (never touched one before) but I gladly accepted her offer. So saga will continue next week as soon as I receive that little capacitor and install it, hopefully. Will update my review then. I bet I’m going to return this fan but I will do my best to fix it per Minka lady. Fan is a fun!———————-Update as of 03/01/2023. Received the replacement capacitor from Minka. It was easy install, however, new capacitor did not improve anything. Same nasty hum that is unacceptable for a bedroom. Currently, the fan is on its way back to Amazon. Although, my experience with Minka fan wasn’t a fun, the product appears pretty good looking and could be okay to install in places where noise isn’t critical.
