The consistency is kind of like jelly, which is different than creams I'm used to.It was easy to wash off, not too gritty, and left my skin feeling hydrated instead of dry. I use it every other day, and it has been a better experience than other exfoliators I've used.CON: The first time I opened the jar I was struck by it's smell. I couldn't quite place it, and reading the label I'm guessing it's olive. Once I thought about it, it reminded me of tapenade. I actually put a little on my tongue and that's kind of the flavor I thought of. The smell is less now that I've opened the jar a few times. It's not bad -- just unexpected.
