ActiveWrap Ice Pack Wrap with Reusable Gel Packs – for Sciatica and Lower Discomfort, Flexible Gel for Recovery, Large Compress for Back and Hip Support, Hot & Cold Compression Wrap

I have been happy with product so far. The velcro is working fine, it is easy to use, it stays cold for an adequate time and the over construction seems good.

I bought the ActiveWrap Back Wrap and Hip Wrap for my wife, who was having both back and hip issues. The product works exceptionally well! Please read the review I left for the ActiveWrap Knee Wrap, which I recently used to recover from a Total Knee Arthroplasty (eg: total knee replacement). I am pasting the Knee Wrap review below. Everything I wrote for the Knee Wrap applies to the Back and Hip Wrap. Just get it... best on the market!I found a video review of ActiveWrap products on YouTube when perusing Knee Replacement Rehab suggestions. The Physical Therapist (with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy) reviewed a large variety of portable joint wrap products, and ActiveWrap was determined to be the best, largely due to the duration of cold that the wrap provides with continuous use, and the fact that it was designed by a Physical Therapist with all of the necessary features of a superior product. That was a good enough testimonial for me to make a purchase and put it to the test.I had one of my knees replaced recently, and in addition to aggressive PT, elevation, and rest, the ActiveWrap Knee Wrap was instrumental in getting me to -2° extension and 125°+ flexion, 2 weeks post-op of my TKA. These wraps maintain an incredible level of COLD for 2 or more hours. Once I began outpatient PT (4 weeks post-op), I brought the ActiveWrap Knee Wrap in to show my Physical Therapist. After wearing the wrap for 45 minutes prior to my appointment, she was amazed at how cold it was!This is the first knee wrap that will not fall down around my ankle with active use, even with slippery synthetic sweat pants on. Both the compression and adjustability are exceptional. By using more or fewer cold packs (which stick to the neoprene wrap using Velcro), you are able to target the cold at a specific area of your joint, or you can bathe the entire joint in bone-chilling cold! It feels absolutely wonderful and beats rotting your digestive system with high doses of NSAIDS.When I wanted to purchase some extra Microban cold-pack sleeves, Customer Service and Sales were extremely quick to respond to my e-mail and were incredibly helpful. I cannot recommend Active Wrap products, and the Active Wrap company, strongly enough! You won't be disappointed!

In anticipation of an upcoming orthopedic procedure, I was recommended by a family member to try these after their very positive experience using them with a recent hip surgery. There isn't a wrap tailored to exactly what I needed, but I was able to contact the ActiveWrap team ahead of time to consult on an existing wrap that could be easily adapted. Not only did they have a recommendation, they sent me a picture of how to position the wrap to my foot, which I found super helpful -- many many thanks to the team for that, it was exactly what I needed! I ordered the wrap plus the 2+hr gel packs and they've been perfect for post-op recovery and keeping the swelling down - the 2hr ones in particular were nice to use for applying overnight before bed.These are super well made and durable, incredibly well priced, and perform better than any other cold wrap I've used in the past, so I can't recommend them enough -- will be buying more for sure just to have them on hand. As a runner, I'm much more apt to use cold therapy now after long runs, now that I have a more functional means for doing it. We even used a spare pack to help relieve the itch from an encounter with poison oak on a relative of mine while we waited for the antihistamines to kick in.

The back support is great. I ended up using the crack n cold ice packs vs the pack that came with. It lasts maybe 5 minutes when used solo/ without the pouch or back strap. The insta ice packs last 20-25 mins in the pouch for the back strap.

I have this wrap in the large/extra large size which works just fine. I’m a size small female. I wanted one that fit tighter. This xsmall/ small is tiny. I figured I’d give it a try. Because I have to pull it so tight -it has come apart at the seams. I wish they made a true small or a medium.

The Active back wrap is everything I hoped it would be! This wrap stretches around the body and holds the hot or cold pack exactly where it needs to be, and allows me to move about. The sizing choices are sm/med & lg/exlg. The sm/med wrap fit, but did not leave much room for the pack. It was exchanged it for the lg/exlg wrap which is VERY generous. The velcro tab on the wrap closes firmly and securely and keeps the hot or cold pack comfortably in place. This well designed back wrap is wonderful!

These are the perfect wraps for sport injuries, recovering from surgeries and just occasional aches and pains - I now own ones for wrist, elbow, knee, back & hip. First instead of having to store a big wrap in your freezer you need only to put the inserts in to the freezer which saves a ton of space. I'm able to store 4 small (hand/wrist and elbow), 3 medium (knee and back) and one large (hip) in the space of about one large wrap. Second these remain very pliable which helps in forming a nice, comfortable cold area - yet the exterior seems quite sturdy to prevent tears or leaks. Third, the high quality neoprene wraps are comfortable and make it easy to secure to what ever body part you need to treat. Fourth, because you slip the insert into a sleeve in the neoprene wrap, you don't need to bother with a towel or anything else between the cold insert and your skin - the insert offers just enough so that the cold isn't painful but not so much that you can't feel the cold. I'm using one right now on my elbow. Haven't used them for heat yet but I expect them to be just as good for warmth as they are for cold.

Like that it’s a large cold pack you insert in the wrap allowing for better coverage on the back. Also like there are two places you can insert the cold pack in the wrap which determines how cold it will be.
