A great book, combining the 6 books of Fairbairn.This historical reference book details self defence for those that really needed to defend themselves against real threats of violence, incarceration, and worse during WW2.Unlike modern fighting systems and marshal arts, which are all just marketing crap designed to make money and don't teach anything effective as a self defence system. The Fairbairn system was simple, decisive and highly effective while being practical and easy to learn.It was so effective as a self defence system, occasionally we see stories in the news of old soldiers in their 80s or 90's affectively defending themselves against violent attackers in their 20s. Which attests to the effectiveness of the system and as Fairbairn states, can be used by anyone regardless of age, strength and stature.

All fairbairn books in one place!The father of modern combatives this is a volume everyone with an interest in self defence should have in their collection. Very clear illustrations and text..highly recommend this volume.Update: I purchased the colour hardback edition...pictures and text are sharper and larger...worth the investment....an epic tome in every sense

So great to have all these works in one book. You can find most of them online for free, but it's great having them all together in print.
