Our tailgate was falling down after being opened (had a few unfortunate incidents with not realizing it fell down behind us while in the trunk, and then hitting the back of our heads when backing up). now it opens and closes perfectly! It does make a whoosh sound when opening, however that is normal because it's just the air moving and the trunk opens and closes, and the product is new. Fits the Honda 2007 CRV perfectly. took less than 10 minutes to install.Edit: had a recent cold snap- they held up super awesome in -27. Truck still opened and stayed up happily
