I don't mind friends who visit to bring their dogs over, I just don't want their dogs crapping. Will this prevent dogs from even hanging out on lawn?

The only way to "prevent" dogs from doing their business on your lawn is to have a fence to keep them out. That said, I don't have a fence on the front of my property, and I use this product as an an animal deterrent. I use it in the spots where dog/cats have gone and it keeps them away. Keep in mind that a treatment won't last forever and it is degraded by the weather (rain/snow), so you have to determine when to reapply it. Hopefully, they will find another place to do their business but there's no guarantee, unless they are physically prevented from accessing your lawn. I hope this helps you out.

Can this product be used in a pump up spray ?

No this cannot be used in sprayer. It is a granular powder and needs to be dusted around problem areas. It’s been effective for me having used it to keep my dogs and stray cats from digging in the landscaping during the hotter days of summer. It does need to be applied when there’s no rain in the forecast for a couple of days and of corse it has to be re applied occasionally. It really serves as a training tool once they know where it is they’ll stay out of those areas. I actually haven’t had to use any in a couple of years.

Do you have to reapply after you water the lawn or a rain fall

you have to reapply after rain, dogs and cats near me laugh and keep coming back so it doesn't work for me I use regular ammonia and its doing just fine

Foxes are not a listed controlled animal.
