It's a power strip. It has a surge protector. It works.
Not a lot to say. It's a Belkin version of what I used to plug my Tandy 1000 into. They've been around forever and I'd be surprised if they got it wrong somehow.

Does what its supposed to do
I really appreciate the length of the cord sometimes you just need a longer cable which feels sturdy and safe too.

Surge Protector and Coaxial Protection
The Belkin has a good reputation and offers a reasonable product at a decent price. However, compared to the Tripp Lite Super 7 Coax Surge Protector, it's more expensive, give a 2 year warranty vs lifetime, and has a poorer design that does not accommodate oversized (wall-wart) plugins. Given these shortcomings, the very reputable Tripp Lite is a much better choice.

nice switch on this power strip
I bought this power strip mainly for the nice switch it has. I use it to turn on the under-shelf lights in my cubical at work which saves me from having to turn on three lights and reaching under the shelves for tiny switches. Unlike many other power strips this one has a very nice on/off switch that feels nice to switch on and off. I was thinking of getting the wireless switched power strip which cost more, but then being in an office where we have many other wireless devices I don't want to add on another device to the mix, but maybe one day I will try it. For now this power strip will do and it looks nice too!

DId good while it was functional...
Purchased it in September 2022, then it abruptly ceased to function today, July 2024. So it lasted just shy of two years. I only subjected it to normal use, with an average load of a laptop, a handful of normal peripheral devices, and a few lights. Nothing stressful. The current in my apartment building is fairly regular, so as far as I know I never experienced any significant surges, beyond what one would expect when turning on things like a washing machine or hair dryer. I'm not going to give it zero stars, because I've had good luck with this brand in the past and two years is adequate. But I'm still a bit disappointed.

Consolidate cords for my treadmill
I attached the power strip to the frame of our treadmill so that the treadmill power and the power to a small floor fan both go through the strip. A couple of zip ties, and I can now power everything up and down using the switch on the strip which is conveniently located. Belkin stuff is great. I have never had a problem with any of their products.
