Q: does it have a sweat band?

The inside band is lined in a velour type of fabric so it does act like a sweat band. Not as absorbent as other materials, but satisfactory for me.

Q: Is it possible to purchase another curly string. It has worn out and the hat is still in very good condition?

When my visor string wore out I purchased the curly show laces. They made an acceptable substitute.

Q: Is visor made in the USA?

No it's made in China still the best visors made

Q: Can these visors be put in the washing machine / dryer? Or how do you suggest cleaning them?

I have put mine in the dishwasher and they turn out great!!! (as long as you remove them right away to dry.....one time I left my white one in for a day or 2 and it RUSTED!!!!). I love these visors!
