Everything you need for the Kohler 16.54 engine. Includes the outer foam air filter cover - some "filters" don't. The 16.54HP makes it a bit of a hunt in the manual to find, but it's crankcase capacity with oil filter is 2 Qts., exactly what this kit contains. So no measuring. If you have the Briggs and Stratton engine(s), I think it's less quantity of oil so RTM.Yeah, you probably don't need to swap the spark plug every time, but why not? It's so easy to do, and included in the kit.I didn't knock off a star, but I'd prefer a synthetic oil. But the convenience of this kit, and frequency of oil changes -vs- oil type outweighs going with synthetic and having to buy all of the parts separately.Don't forget your other maintenance - pump some oil into the various grease fittings, check / change your belt(s), and I use a light Teflon grease on all of the metal parts that touch - the hangers for the mower deck and such.
