4G technology - Great router, Great range, Great speed, Great interface
First off, I received this as a free sample from Linksys in order to provide my honest feedback about the product. So far, my experience with this router has been nothing but positive over the past week or so. Installation was as simple as indicated by following the provided instructions in the box and on screen. It took a few minutes to connect with my cable modem but the router connected to my ISP and was online without any issues. I'm extremely pleased that Linksys finally got out of the habit of defaulting password information and instead provided a unique password in the instructions. The only tough decisions were what router name I wanted for the Wi-Fi and if I wanted the wireless N and AC bands separate or the same. Changing this setup was very simple to do and was intuitive to find in the wireless section. Using the Linksys app was helpful and easy to share the new network information with the family phones. Wireless speed definitely improved with the AC technology and with the N network with its own name, I was able to move my 3rd gen Apple TV to wireless and not see a decrease in loading speed while using other wireless items at the same time. Range is also very good on the AC bands but can quickly switch to N if needed. I will say, position of the router is critical to maximize the effectiveness of the router. My previous router, E3500 was getting bogged down with more wireless devices being used at a single time, now with the new technology of AC, the devices can designate which band to use based on their tech to avoid congestion in the wireless space. This is even done on the guest network so my guests can use the best network for their devices. The user interface is very simple and intuitive to allow quick changes via online or the app and I can say this has improved by great lengths over the past couple years.I haven't utilized the usb ports yet but have ideas of what I can do with them that I hope to implement in the near future.Definitely worth the price to get the most out of the network.

Whoa!!!
Linksys EA7500 Max-Stream™ AC1900 MU-MIMO Gigabit Router (with WUSB6100 WIFI Adapter)This thing is rock solid!!. My previous router setup was a Linksys E3000, coupled with the WUSB6300 USB WIFI adapter, which replaced an AE1000 that died.Setup was painless. I didn’t need to download any software from the website. Drivers installed seamlessly, on a Windows 10 pro box. Before upgrading I highly recommend taking snapshots of your existing router confg pages. Trust me, this makes life a lot easier down the road. The smart Wifi app makes things even easier by looking for the most recent firmware, and updating the router. Whaaaat?? Yes!! No more going to web site, selecting router, version number, and checking the firmware. Hey you, click this button for firmware upgrade, Boom! It was so weird I had to do it twice just make sure I was seeing what I was seeing. I instantly changed the name of the network and password, because, well I’m old school. You had to, lol.As I started this review, It just works. My devices are a dvr with 4 security cameras around the perimeter of the house which are always on, Xbox360, 3 cell phones on wifi, 4 tablets, 1 desktop, 1 Synology ds215j NAS, 2 laptops, etc.. Thanks to MU-MIMO. Feed the devices, feed them all, ha ha ha ha {evil laugh}.My test this morning was to download some files via a torrent client, and play MW3 on Xbox live to see if there would be any lag. Things were downloading so fast I could barely perform the test. But I did find a file 1.5gb that wasn’t seeding as well, and was able to play MW3, stream Pandora from my cell phone, and there was no noticeable lag. Me likey. Me likey a lot! It just works, and works very well. As most of you reading this will attest to, in your household you are the I.T. / Network Engineer / computer guy, and things just have to work. No one cares how it works, it just needs to work. When my 5yr old daughter (Puddin' 2) is watching her Michael Jackson videos on Youtube, and it stops, she’s getting up from the workstation and seeking out Daddy. If she can’t get to her Nickjr., oh my!! No Paw Patrol, or Miles, or Jeesh, Peppa Pig, those tiny feet are walking with a purpose to tell me what happened. And yes, she is the boss of me, lol. I drop what I’m doing and hop right to it. She pays me in hugs and kisses, and that makes everything else bearable. My fiancé (Puddin' 1) gets the same treatment. I never have to tell her I think the oven isn’t working cause I’m hungry. Lol.. Although, that probably wouldn’t be a bright idea. She handles the cooking, the baby handles the hugging, and dad handles the network. Linksys has made my job much easier than should be allowable in the household. Almost seems unfair, almost. Lol. This setup is unbelievably fast, and reliable. My next test is to see if I can keep a strong signal while outback of the house. The E3000 signal was very weak. That sucked for cookouts. Now I believe we will be rocking, while streaming music from the Nas, as well as Pandora. Lastly, people often say the proof is in the puddin. Well, the Puddin's are happy. Thus Dad's ecstatic. Thanks Linksys.Check the speedtest screenshots below:1) E3000 with WUSB6300. 2.4ghz2) E3000 with WUSB6300 5ghz3) EA7500 with WUSB6100 AC MU-MIMO adapter 5ghz, and 2.4ghz were relatively the same.4) Galaxy S4 Speed tests. The top one is at work over a T1, or T3 line, the rest are the home network. Pretty Impressive. Pretty impressive indeed.5) The remaining 3 are from my Galaxy S4 wifi analyzer app.
