Berkley Trilene XT Monofilament Fishing Line

I was having some issues with a different brand of line becoming frayed and breaking easily even though its new line. I moved to this Berkley Trilene XT. I really like the fact that even though I am using 17 Lb test, it will still allow me to cast a smaller spinner easily. Being clear it is more difficult for my older eyes to see it when tying on a lure, but if the fish can't see the line and will bite my lure? Well, I will get better glasses. Will buy again.

Always use Berkeley triline for fishing leaders! It is the go-to fishing line by many fishermen! And you can get it here on Amazon. I wonder whatever happened to the Gold version instead of green? Maybe you can find out?

Line tangles up pretty easily

Strong and tough. XL is more supple and pound for pound has a smaller diameter. Both have their place.

I've been using this line for 20 years or so. I've explored other lines but none have been better than it. It combines toughness and softness in a way other lines can't. I couldn't find it in stock anywhere this spring and all my reels needed fresh line - I had to find a similar option and neither were satisfactory. I've found that the Low-Vis Green makes a huge difference in strikes - I've used it side-by-side with my fishing buddy and the difference was notable. The best value for the price in my book.
