strong door stop
if you have a door that needs more than just a back stop to keep it from swinging closed in the wind, this little gadget is perfect and will hold the door securely no matter how strong the wind is in your house.

Simple, quiet and effective
I use the Hillman door stop to hold open a shed door and it works great. It provides a very solid 'anchor' for the door when open. There is a small spring metal bumper in the holding clip that probably contributes to the quiet latching. All metal construction means this will last, probably longer than the shed...

Does what guys supposed to do
This door stop is easy to install and does exactly what it’s supposed to do at a very reasonable price. Door stays in place. Very easy to install.

Does the job but watch your ankles
Chose this over magnetic versions which had too many mixed reviews (magnet too strong, magnet too weak, etc). This simple design does the job.Just look out for the catch with its metal prongs that could slice up your ankle if you bump into it. I’ve wrapped the prongs in electrical tape to avoid that fate.

Practical and works well
The door stop holds my heavy entrance door which is also subject to winds. The door stop worked great and it is ver convenient.

Perfect for my needs
I have a shed door with a standard T handle. I just leave the keys in the lock while the door is open for convenience. When the wind catches the door the handle bangs into the trim, embedding the keys into the wood. Surely not a good long term plan.I was about to just add a block of wood and thought "wouldn't it be nice to also just hold the door open". Other door catches for marine applications are $30+ each. This is much more reasonable. Don't need to withstand hurricane force. I don't know how well this will hold up outside, but if it starts to rust I'll see if it will hold spray paint. It was very easy to install. Alignment is very forgiving and the spring of the catch is just right. Enough to hold it but not so much that the door has to flex to come unstuck.

Excellent door stop
This is a great door stop. It is very sturdy, with just the right amount of secure grip for an inside door that tends to drift shut on it's own. Installation was very quick and easy. Highly recommend!
