I actually purchased these as ideas that peppermint was a great peat repellent! Grew very quickly and will very little skill required! I have many multiple pots full of lovely smelling peppermint to place by my windowsills!

I have been growing indoor herbs and salads for years, way before it was "trendy" with all these cookery programs!My usual supplier has put up their prices ridiculously so I thought I would try elsewhere?I have never had a any problems growing, until now! I use good quality organicsoil and on a large window ledge facing SSWHardly any of these packs of seeds, 2 types have germinated, less than 10% and those that have are very poor and week. I even tried another batch in a cold frame with even worse results! Both packs were in good date.This is the first and the last time I purchase from unknown sauces. Its not about the cost, its about the waste of time and effort involved, plus possibly having to purchase from a supermarket until the next batch has grown!The only reason I can think of why these are of such poor quality is the way they have been stored prior to despatch?I don't do many reviews, especially negative ones. But this has annoyed me and is extremely disappointing!

EDITMy initial review (below) I will leave unchanged.I planted these seeds (indoors) according to the instructions on the packet and I am happy to report that in a little over a week I am seeing several dozen green shoots appearing. I can safely say now that germination appears to have been a success and in a very short time. Naturally, a few more weeks will need to pass for these baby plants to establish themselves a little more but I don't envisage any problems at all with future growth.First Review:A basic pack of (allegedly) 1,000 pepermint herb seeds.There is a good use-by date (over a year on the pack I received). The seeds themselves are kept inside a small, sealed packet inside.Although the description says there are 1,000 seeds in the packet, when I poured them out I have to say I was quite dubious that the quantity was that many. I have planted them now (indoors) and will await germination. Since I only need enough for a couple of pots, I will be satisfied if I get enough plants for that purpose but it will be a few weeks before I see any results.At the moment, I can only say this pack of seeds appears to be similar to most other packs of seeds. Considering my own needs for this pack, I will wait for germination. If everything goes as expected then I will be pleased otherwise I will revisit this review in a few months time. For the moment, all seems to be okay - plus, the price of the pack was competitive, so nothing to complain about there.

I bought these due to seeing mice and rats next door and thankfully they haven't come near my garden or home

Amazon have asked me to review a packet of seeds I received 5 days ago. Sadly I'm no miracle worker and as much as I'd like to rave about them, I can't get them to grow in that short space of time. Like every other mortal I'll let nature take its course.

Looking forward to actually seeing these grow ,The arrived quickly,ONE thing to be aware of is that parsley seeds need to be placed in warm water before planting,Something to do with gemanation , my daughter is going to attempt growing these in her poly tunnel,I will pop back and give an update when the seeds have grown .

The parsley and dill grew fine but the sage turned out to be some sort of weed. Potentially wild mustard. Just seen a bunch of other reviews with the same issue. Please don’t buy these! Will ruin your crop, wild mustard is a nightmare to get rid of. Nothing else grew and I’m not an amateur gardener.
