Very decent product and exelent services
Comes with everything you need (screws and bolts and such), it even go's so far as to have 2 front plates, for shorted server boxes and normal PC case. Works very well from what the tests tell me and its quite easy to use, it comes with a manual and instructions for even the most retarded of users and even the box it comes in seems fairly well made. The only thing that is left now is the test of time, for now I can honestly say I'm very satisfied. The package was a few days late, when I tried to get answers Amazon immediately sent me another one with express shipping free of charge, the product is quite good, but Amazon's services are as always just amazing! Very fast, very considerate and very good. I don't think I have ever had a problem with them or that there is any online store (or life store) that I would rather buy from. You can really be sure that you're safe when buying from Amazon!Thank you

Very poor M.2 mounting
Unfortunately, my motherboard won't boot from this but that's not the fault of this board. I had to put in an SSD SATA drive (Samsung 850 EVO) for boot. But copies from the 850 EVO to the Samsung XP941 on this board happen at over 1.4GB/s. A 4GB file copied so fast I couldn't get a clear read on the speed; literally in just two or three seconds.I haven't tried the B-Key (SATA) connection yet but it works great on the M-Key.Had to go back in and edit my review; I forgot the one really bad thing about this. Their is no stud or attached nut into which you screw the M.2 card; there's just a hole. And what you get is a screw and a nut, no lock-washer. I'm not sure how long this will stay together before the nut vibrates off and shorts out something in my computer. There are many types of mounts that boards use to fit a nut that you screw into for mounting drives like this. I've seen plastic clips, pressed in female studs, soldered on nuts, etc. This has none of those. Just a screw and a nut. And the screw is not anything you can screw in. It has a flat head (not flat-head for a screwdriver, just flat. no slot) and there's a tiny threaded female hole for screwing in an even tinier screw to mount the disk. Hard to explain; I'll try to add pictures later but I don't have the extra screws available as I write this. All I can say, is the M.2 mounting is very poor. I hope it lasts

It just works, but for one NVMe card only
This worked fine to put a Samsung 970 Pro SSD in my desktop PC. The card goes into a PCIeX4 (or higher) slot and Windows 10 picked it up without my having to do anything. The "Dual" aspect needs some care in addressing if you don't read carefully. While one M.2 slot supports NVMe drives such as the Samsung 970, the other slot will accept only SATA-interface drives and then it will work only if you connect a SATA cable from your motherboard to the connector on the card. So if you were hoping for a solution that would take two NVMe cards, this isn't it.I have no complaints about the adapter at all - it just works. I'll comment that the M.2 slots have enough room for SSDs that have components on the back of the card, though the Samsungs don't.

Plug and play with two drives
Use a samsung 970 evo on one side and a samsung 860 evo (sata) on the other side. Keep in mind this is not a dual NVME m.2, one side is Sata. No issues, took 2 minutes to install both drives and put inside my UNRAID server. Immediately was recognized and saw both drives. Performance is as advertised

Works with Samsung 950 pro
It just works... And that is all anyone really asks for in a product like this. If anyone is wondering, yes this adapter did work with my Samsung 950 pro PCIe SSD (and I'm almost positive it would work with the SM951). I recently purchased a Gigabyte X99 SLI motherboard and needed one of these to use the full bandwidth of the drive as the M.2 port on the motherboard is PCIe gen2x2. Therefore bandwidth is limited to 10gb/s on the motherboards M.2 slot rather than a possible 32gb/s that the Samsung 950 pro has. I attached the drive to the adapter, plugged it in and it booted into windows right out of the box. After doing some tests, I was hitting ~800MB/s read and write over the motherboards M.2 port. However with this adapter, I was getting ~2GB/s read and ~900MB/s write with the 256GB model of the 950 pro, much more speed than before.

My ECM20 was a complete fail in both scenarios
I'm a 25+ year IT Pro.This card did not work:Plan A: Attempted to install Windows 10 - the Win10 installer did not recognize it.Plan B: Install it into an existing working Windows 7 PC - it blue screened on bootup. .Also: The screw connectors that hold down the device boards - you need to install yourself (parts included) but a little time consuming and require small screwdrivers and extra time. Cheap.Device could be defective, but not going to waste time on it - it's going back.

For m.2 SATA III SSD, this is just a mounting bracket / adapter
I thought this was a SATA III controller as well. It isn't. If you use M.2 SATA III SSD, you have to cable the second slot to your current controller with a SATA cable. So, there is no throughput gain over your current SATA controller if you use it with a M.2 SATA III card. It will however boot the system, since this just becomes a form-factor adapter and bracket when using M.2 SATA III SSD.Also, I learned that you have to have an Intel 8x or 9x chipset in order to have the BIOS recognize a M.2 SSD. Intel 6 series/C200 won't see this adapter, so you couldn't boot from it if you used a M.2 PCIe SSD with the older chipset. Also, BIOS should support UEFIIf you have an older or stripped down BIOS & chipset, you should probably just avoid the m.2 form factor products.

Useless, missing standoff post.
I haven't even installed it yet and I already kind of hate it. This company opted NOT to include the standoff for screwing in the m.2, which is necessary to even use it. WHY would you not include that? I can't use this product without it and now I either have to go find one of proper dimensions or I have to deal with trying to return this thing. Even if this card works perfectly this one problem alone is enough for me to never buy a SilverStone product again.
