Just drink it straight!
Mild enough to drink without cream and sugar if you're avoiding those.

Wonderful product. Try it and you might develop a delicious habit
This is a delicious beverage. If trying for the first time, you need to keep in mind that it won't directly compare to other beverages you may know such as coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. And that's the point--if it were like them, we wouldn't need this product! If you follow the instructions this will yield a satisfying beverage, a little bitter, a little chocolatey, and customizable depending on how much sweetener, creamer, and other add-ons you put in. Delicious hot or cold.- Ecuador Light Roast (this one) is light-bodied. It smells chocolatey, sweet, and floral out of the pack. When you brew it, it is the least bitter of all the Crio Bru options. Refreshing, you could even drink it on its own. Good for those looking for a subtle chocolate taste and a light, tea-like texture.- Venezuela Medium Roast. It also smells chocolatey, but with nutty/malty notes. Medium body when brewed, richer than the Light Roast, more bitter and also more acidic. I found this the most acidic of them all. Very satisfying with sweetener, creamer, and a dash of maca powder.- Ghana French Roast. Smells roasty and burned. This is the closest to coffee. Full-bodied and very bitter, needs creamer and sugar. Really good iced!My favorite brew is to mix some Ecuador Light and Ghana French Roast. This lets me control the taste and body better. Half and half will yield a cup that is rich and full-bodied while also having sweeter chocolatey notes from the Light Roast.Follow their instructions for the proportion of grounds to water. I have brewed using a French press and results are good. I also tried brewing in a mug and straining the grounds using a tea sieve. This last method yields a much richer brew (with the French press, some of the sludgy goodness is caught in the grounds), although you can feel the sludge at the bottom (it doesn't bother me) and it can get messy. But it tastes so much more satisfying. Brewing time is long no matter which method so I often pop my mug in the microwave for 30 seconds to make it piping hot again.PS. Crio Bru, your package says your product is not addictive, but I respectfully disagree. I've been drinking this for only a couple of months and I can't go a day without one or two cups.

It's definitely chocolate
I received this over the weekend, and hesitated trying it for a number of hours. I finally decided to try to make it using my Keurig. I filled one of the generic empty cups and set it to brew on the lowest volume (6oz). The flavor was interesting and nostalgic. It reminded me of one of the first times I made hot chocolate as a child, and put in one packet of hot chocolate mix and about 2-3 times the amount of water suggested. The flavor is actually decent, but it definitely tastes like watery hot chocolate. This morning, I tried it with about half the cacoa and half coffee, and it still tastes like watery hot chocolate (with a little coffee in it).I realize this is the light roast, so I'm not put off of it, and I would get this again, but I think next time I will probably get a fuller, darker roast to see if there is a difference.

Gross as coffee, good in smoothies
If you're looking for a coffee substitute, this is a disappointment. Tastes like watery hot chocolate. I actually really love using it in my nutty morning smoothies, though. It gives you energy without the crash and tastes good with other ingredients.

Good experiment
Curious and it was pretty good. But my daughter loved it a lot more and has replaced daily coffee with it.

WARNING to those sensitive to caffeine
This item is not safe for people who are sensitive to caffeine. It is true that it doesn't wire you as much as coffee, but it can affect you in other ways. My spouse has eczema and this beverage triggered a bad attack.

It's delicious!
I was seeing ads for this product pop up on FB so I was intrigued. But,I don't order directly from FB ads (I was burned once so never again). I was a bit skeptical, but I decided that for $15.00 it was worth taking a chance. It came in on time and I immediately made a cup (using a French Press for the first time). I used 2 TBL of the cacao and 8 oz of water. I let it steep for about 5 mintes and the aroma was terrific! I am on a low salt/diabetic diet so to be able to have something as tasty as this that satisfies my desire to have some chocolate for just 20 cal and 3 carbs is a real treat. This morning I used the 2 tbl with 12 ox of water and let it steep a little longer and it w as still delicious. I do not add any sweetener or milk.

Best combo 50/50
1/2 Ecuador light + 1/2 Nicaragua is the dopest blend. I find 100% Nicaragua to be a bit bitter and 100% Ecuador to be too mild.
