Robust and comfortable. It does exactly what it’s designed to do and looks good doing so.

After extensive searching for cushioned mats for our kitchen, I decided on these. As a cost comparison, I purchased 2 from A-Z and 1 from a big box store. Cost was exactly the same, with box store arriving quicker than A-Z prime. After a few days of use, I am writing this review. My requirements: another color besides, brown, gray, or black; the height needed to be low enough to avoid tripping as I was making a "path" around our kitchen; extensive time is spent in the kitchen so I wanted comfort without tripping or tremendous expense. These fit the bill so far. However the "actual" dimensions are: 17.750" x 55", NOT 18"x55"; thickness is .250" NOT .500". Beware, if exact dimension is important to your placement. As I have placed them, there is some slight movement width-wise with traffic, and may have to add some wooden trim at base of cabinets at a later date, to close up the gap between mat edges and cabinets -- had they have been true to advertised width, this would not have been an issue.. You will need to be prepared to place filled gallon jugs or books on the ends for several days (place cardboard underneath the weights or you will get unwanted impressions) -- be careful trying to roll the mat in opposite direction to remove the curl at inside end, you may get an unwanted crease on the top side of mat that will be hard to get out -- these come rolled tightly placed in a plastic bag. They can be cut -- I have done so with a rotary cutter on a protective surface -- hiding the cut edge under cabinets and tucking other end underneath refrigerator frame only. They are not slippery with a few drops of water on them and are easy to wipe down nightly with a wet cloth. The verdict is still out on how long their lifespan will be, since they are not as thick as advertised, but so far I'm happy with them and they will be a welcome change from high maintenance foam-backed area rugs requiring laundry -- and tossing out every 6 months due to foam backing crumbling.

Not just pretty but very comfortable and so easy to clean.

These are nice but extremely thin. I kept this but ordered thicker mats for use in my kitchen.
