Excellent original part

bought this as replacement to my previous Alivio. Was servicing my bike slowly (not the main one I have) and a month since purchasing I installed the item - all looked OK, up to the point when I installed new line - it turned out that there was a one, very tiny bit missing in derailleur (place where line leaves last derailleur part before being terminated 2 inches later with allen key. old one has protective ring, whereas this one was missing, meaning that each time the gear shifted, the line itself was rubbing against sharp edge of the thread (will probably last few weeks like that);consulted shimano dealer who said this thing should be there.trusting this was properly built item, I missed the return window by two days, meaning lost about £30 - the reason for 1 out of 5 points as it is useless to me.thanks.
