I bought this knife for traveling when I cannot take my full set of carving tools. It works well. The blades were not as sharp as I would like but a quick sharpening of the blades and they are good to go. Nice carbon steel blades take the sharpening well. I recommend this to any carver who wants to have their knife with them wherever they go.

Very nice copy of a well known brand. Much, much cheaper. You get what you pay for. After some work I was able to sharpen the main blade to almost as sharp as the well known brand. The other tools were mostly usable but not as sharp as they should be. Some of the blades are not true. This is a useful tool but if the manufacturer put just a little extra effort into sharpening the blades it would be a really good knife at a good price. If you can afford it put the money into the well known brand.

This knife got very very dull after a few swipes on a soft wood. Not sure if all will do this but was very disapointed in the over all product!

First, the positives- Overall, the fit and finish is very good for the price. Everything opens smoothly and the knife seems well put together, and the selection of blades is quite good, offering a good range of whittling and carving possibilities. Now, the negatives- I'd like to give this more stars, but the cutting edges themselves are unfinished. I can correct this with some file work (I oped for a file instead of a grinder because while slower, it's more precise) and honing with stones, so it's a short-term problem, but frankly I'd have been okay with paying a little more for cutting edges that were delivered in a finished state and these aren't. I'm always prepared to have to sharpen new tools, but in this case I'm creating and correcting the bevels so I can then sharpen them. What we have here is the basis for a very handy tool. If you're prepared to do a bit of work to take it across the finish line then it'll be worth it, but you should be prepared.
