NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto Coffee Capsules Espresso 48 Single Serve Pods, (Makes 48 Cups) 48 Count

Let me start by saying the dolce gusto espresso pods are great. Perfect shot of espresso with crema. The issue since since dolce gusto stopped selling them online we are only left with Amazon. The problem is the prices. A month ago I was paying 21-23$ now it’s at 38$. I know there are many sellers but I’m sick of them scamming people with these outrageous rise in prices. When it’s 38$ like now I scour to find other pods at a reasonable price - so yesterday bought the Lungo as they were 23$.

Excellent scent and flavor

I couldn’t get this after June 2020 and didn’t like the other black coffee options. So I got a Nespresso machine. The only blend I liked for them isn’t available now, then I found my Espresso Dolce Gusto was again available!! I’ll pack the Nespresso away now. I like the DG machine much better than N due to its genuine crema, not foam of the N machine. Strange, they are both made by Nestle but compete with each other. The DG is far superior but it’s like the step child that Nestle won’t give equal attention (advertising) as N (George Clooney).Of course, the price has doubled from what I paid this time last year, but that’s now equal to what I paid for N Virtuo pods. DG is still my winner!Update 7/5/21In my last shipment, I’ve had one malfunctioning pod in each box. This is a much higher percentage than I have seen in the 12 years I’ve been drinking DG.

I have been making Cappuccinos for about a year with my Dolce Gusto Piccolo, and decided to see if I could save money by ordering the "Espresso" capsules and frothing my own milk in my Capresso frothPro, which I already had from trying to make Cappuccinos in another espresso maker that didn't do foam well, so I bought this milk foamer to do the trick and it is wonderful. After brewing my Dolce Gusto Espresso, I finish it off with the milk I foamed and then I sprinkle a little cinnamon/sugar mixture that I keep in a shaker on top of the foam. Everyone thinks it looks very professional and the taste is fabulous! There is no bitterness with this espresso capsule, which I was surprised to find. The crema is lovely and the aroma is heavenly, so I was so happy to find that it tastes as good as it looks! I like a mug-sized cup of coffee, so I usually use two capsules, which is why I decided to try using the Espresso capsules instead of the Latte or Cappuccino ones, where I would need 4 capsules (2 coffee & 2 milk). What would cost me $4 at Starbucks is now costing me 88 cents for the double, and when I only want a single, it only costs me 44 cents!

Amazin asked me to rate this seller- no issue with seller, Wiki Deals. Delivery quick and correct. This flavor doesn't give you more than a couple sips per run, but taste is excellent and price a bit lower (as there is less of it). Expire dates a little close to end, but taste was right. No issues with this seller. 4 stars, not 5, I guess because close to expired, but so good it won't be unused long.

I’ve been an espresso lover for 2 decades. Dolce Gusto is a great value and flavor. I occasionally add a splash of half and half with a touch of sugar and it is amazing. I’ve tried all their espresso flavors and have never been disappointed.
