Great product... only problem I've had is I have to use my most powerful drill I have. (which I don't think that's all bad. Makes it harder for most people to use it or steal it.) but mind you I do have a tongue weight of 1900 pounds. I love mine. I'm actually gonna set mine up to work on my impact and I probably have more power that way.

This jack operates very smoothly and has an amazing range of lift. While the price is higher than the (get you by) average trailer jack, it is well worth it. The drill attachment and the removable handle work well, being very quick to operate. I bought a mesh bag to put the drill attachment and the removable handle in. I store it inside my enclosed car hauler. With this being all removable, it adds another level of security to my trailer.

This jack is beyond awesome! I have bought so many in the last 2 years and wish I would have spent the money the first time and bought this one!Great product!

Before I begin about my experience with the Trailer Valet JX5-C, I first wanted to say that everything I did with the JX5-C, I have been doing with the factory supplied electric tongue jack with a lower rating of 3,500 lbs, without any problems.There I was... with my newly installed JX5-C and my new DeWalt 20v drill (the most powerful 20V they sell at the moment), thinking about how much faster hitching and un-hitching was going to be.Time for the trial run... (starting out the trailer was already hitched to the truck) I put the Equalizer hitch spring arms in the hitch socket, insert my drill with the matching bit into the receiver of the JX5-C and begin to raise the trailer. It started out fine, but as soon as some weight is applied the drill freezes.I stop and move it up to a more powerful torque setting, grab onto the main handle and auxiliary handle of the drill a pull the trigger, the drill bucks out of my grip, I take a more aggressive stance and grip on the drill and try again, it doesn't get away from me this time, but the drill is struggling at it's highest torque setting and it is a beast to hold onto. The trailer is raising up, but there is a groaning coming from the gear box of the JX5-C, before the trailer gets high enough to raise the Equalizer bars onto the cradle, the drill gives out and there are no higher settings to place it on.So, I reverse the drill and begin to lower it back down, the drill is still bucking and kicking and the gear box in the JX5-C is still groaning and putting up SO MUCH resistance, essentially I am fighting this thing to keep the drill from getting away from me.The trailer didn't make it all the way down to it's original start position before the drill gave out again, there was just too much resistance from the jack. I put the drill away, grabbed the manual crank and greco roman wrestled this thing back down to where we began. Disappointed is an understatement. For those of you that are wondering, the tongue weight of my trailer is 500lbs. 10% of the stated capacity of this jack, there was plenty of margin to work with.

We are using this unit on a 16 foot inclosed trailer, works great as it should, smooth functionality, easy to use and easy to install. Great bang for you buck!

I have 2018 BaseCamp. This wasn’t exactly difficult but a bit more involved than just removing old jack & installing this one. I had to loosen the propane tank cover to move it back out of the way (evidently Airstream changed the dimensions of the cover just enough on newer ones so this wasn’t necessary for others), install the jack, then move the tank cover back into place. Sometimes I have to use the hand crank at topOr start of raising/lowering, but overall it’s still an improvement.

I bought this particular jack for the obvious reasons. The drill option is a nice-to-have and does indeed work very well on the tongue of my loaded cargo trailer but...Manual cranking with the included handle is very smooth and seems to require less than half the effort to crank than the old & tired 2k jack it replaced; perfect gear ratio! The handle to hand interface material is a cushioned rubber and is comfortable to use. My palm and elbow really appreciate the gear ratio on this thing.It installed perfectly on my cargo trailer. Hooked up to my pickup truck I can still drop the tailgate 90% of the way with my particular hitch. I think its a 3" drop. The top of my tailgate has a plastic Bushwacker-branded trim along the entire width of the gate. That is what rests on the flat stainless steel plate on the top of the jack. It all works very well.The grease zirt was a very nice feature. It will make maintenance on the jack as easy as it can be.The jack is a bit pricier but those monies were obviously put into the quality of parts used in manufacturing this jack.I hope it lasts the life of the trailer. Its a handsome piece of equipment.The only con is that the applied sticker was already peeling off the body of the jack when I opened the package. Insteading of losing it in the wind traveling down the road I removed it the rest of the way and applied it to a tool cabinet in my garage.So, if the company that manufacturers the jack would like the advice: use a better method to apply your branding to the jack. Parked at various locations I'm sure the jack will attract a few lookers.
