This time, after maybe using 50 feet or so I started to notice a bump or ridge about 3/4" wide all around one end of the roll. Eventually i came to it. It's about a 3/4" wide strip of what appears to be the transfer paper but without any adhesive. It's almost impossible to remove and if I AM able to remove the strip itleaves and impression in the tape that interferes with burnishing.

Update.2 No issues at all with new roll. Works completely as intended. Highly recomend!Update: Seller reached out and said they identified a small batch manufacturing issue and it has since been resolved. Replacement is en route. Will update review after trying the new roll.While trying to pull the tape from the roll it continuously rips in the middle of the roll. We wasted far more trying to fix the issues than what makes it to the product. I was hoping it was just an issue on the outside layers but it has persisted throughout the roll. Cannot recommend.

This is a great tape for masking wood before lasering. There is no residue when you remove it and it peels off easily. We use this for every job and never had any issues!

I am eternal optimist and gave this transfer tape, (which I bought back in Oct 2023) enough time to prove itself to me, and I have found this product to be worthless. I wasted my money, and my time trying to get it to work for my laser engraving projects. It rips prematurely, peels the second layer of the tape on the roll which causes the stickiness of the top layer of the transfer tape to be null and void. It doesn't fully adhere to the substrate that I'm engraving. I've wasted more product trying to peel it back just to try and find enough usable product to use on my projects, which have proven to be a dismal failure. Using this tape caused me more delays in completing the jobs I have to do, that it's just not worth my time, effort or money in trying to find something redeemable about this worthless product. I read all the 1-star reviews and I can totally concur with all the problems that the previous purchasers of this product experienced. This is the worst transfer tape I've ever used. I'm curious to see if the company that manufactures this product will reach out and make good on their product?? I wondered if maybe the company had a bad production run when mine was made. Regardless, I can't waste my limited resources of money and time to even consider buying another roll of this particular transfer tape from this company. Save yourself from all the headaches and don't purchase this product!

Update: The seller reached out and offered to replace the current roll I have. It arrived promptly, and the new roll rips much better, although is still very stuck to the roll itself. The adhesion to vinyl is stronger than the first roll, and works well if you roll/pressure apply it and then let it adhere to the tape. Given it's price point and experience so far there's a risk you'll get a bad roll, but the seller was prompt and polite to deal with, and all things considered it's a good product for the price.--------------------------Rips very unevenly, and is very very difficult to remove from the roll, which would make sense if it had good adhesion to vinyl. It doesn't, and you end up slowly and gently rolling it ever so slightly millimeter by millimeter to try and get it to adhere to the tape and not the vinyl's own backer.If it was able to adhere to the vinyl, this would be a killer deal, but this is not even as good as a dollar store roll of masking tape. There are other brands out there that you may have better experience with, but this roll isn't very useful.

Works really well, tacky enough to hold but doesn't leave any residue when removed

The adhesion on this is a tad bit too low to succesfully use with Vinyl decals. It works decent with some of my larger decals, but anything that is below 8x8, customers seem to complain that the tack on the tape is not high enough to lift the vinyl decal from the backing paper that the vinyl is on. I switched to a different brand as I tried this myself and noticed that it for sure does not have enough tack to fully lift the decal all the way off. I really wanted to like this one, but it is just not something that I can use all the time anymorel. This is great if you are needing it for painting or spraying texture on a wall and want to control the splatter, but for vinyl decals it is not all that great.

Great transfer tape. I have been making signs for 26 years and this is the first time I have tried a tape that is not a brand name and I love it, Price is amazing and it is a high quality tape.
