Q: well according to the product listing it has a class4 bifm cylinder which does not support 0ver 350 why list 500pounds?

I am over 350 lb.'s and it holds , work' well for me and I use it a lot . other than that I can not tell you any thing more .

Q: Is this chair capacity truly 500 lbs?

It says it is but I don't think so I'm close to 390lb and the chair broke but in all fairness it lasted a good year or so and I still bough another which is going on a year no problems yet..
