This author is The Matriarch of Herbalism among the innercircle, which includes well known practicing herbalists,"celebrity" herbalists, other authors, and many thousandsof community herbalists all over the world.My 30 year old copy- my very first herb book -is falling apart so I just ordered another because itcontains a lifetime of tried and true herbal informationfor personal and professional practice. Anyone startingout in their understanding of this field, as well asanyone who has been studying for years, should have this,and all her books, on their shelves, and use them! Ifyou do, you will "get it".This book is recommended to educate and enlighten thosewho have been brainwashed by the media to think "herbsare drugs", or poisons, or worse- as it clears up issuesof practical usage, and proper usage, and everydayapplications, by someone with decades of experience ,well respected the world over. It contains useful, fulldescriptions of many common herbs (the "materia medica"),some not so common, some , in older versions, which mayhave fallen out of use or access. A story emerges of herbaluse all over the planet for health care, and along withthis information, the author shares her insights intoincorporating natural living to promote robust healthand vitality.No fads here- just classical, timeless, tried and true,unchanging , eternally helpful enlightenment.

The media could not be loaded. She writes in easy to understand terms, providing all the “how to” harvest, prep, use and preserving. There are nice line drawings of the herbs to help with identification if you’re unfamiliar with the plant - though I also recommend using photos or plant ID app to confirm what you are harvesting if it’s new to you.

After realising what I could benefit from in the fields and hedgerows I was anxious to learn more, and the Juliette de Bairachi Levy books were recommeded to me. I found just the one I was looking for on Amazon and the book was very reasonably priced, even though I chose the new book option. This book is extremely comprehensive and easy to read. The plant and herb introductions are usefully sectioned into description, uses and doses. I would have preferred the illustrations to have been in color but they are sufficiently descriptive for recognition. With the addition of a remedies chapter, this book is defintely a complete library of everything one would wish to know about common herbs. The book is very well laid out and easy to understand, and a pleasure to read. Ms Levy certainly has an outstanding knowledge of herbal work and with her ability to transmit this knowledge in a readable and easy to understand form she has produced a gem of a book.

New to herbalism and this is a must have book!! Love to read about our elder herbalist who has so much experience. Love to see how far herbalism has grown and reading about herbal history. Thanks!😊✨❤️

THIS SMALL BOOK IS A VERY INTERESTING GLIMPSE INTO HERBAL LIVING THROUGH HEALTH MAINTENANCE AND HERBAL CURES. THE AUTHOR IS QUITE KNOWLEGABLE AND HAS BEEN USING THESE PROVEN METHODS FOR QUITE A WHILE.

This book and well organized and very resourceful. I have purchased all of her collections of books and have even included a library for my children as well.

This is a terrific book! I found it quite by accident and her dvd also. She is a wonderful lady with a great deal of knowledge and love of nature. She has led an extraordinary life and raised her children with the same herbs and remedies she writes about. I would heartily recommend this book to all who are looking for more info on herbs and a better way to increase good health
