Swiss Chalet Dipping Sauce

This sauce makes for good dipping for chicken and fries. When I lived in Buffalo went to the restaurant to eat. Went to Buffalo a month ago and found out Swiss Chalet had closed. Was looking to eat there.

Couldn't believe it! We have no swiss chalets around here because they have closed up. And swiss chalet was my all time favorite. So when I ordered the sauce I certainly didn't think it would be as good since it was what made my meal like no other. When I served it one night for my husband and I, we couldn't believe how could it was and how it tasted exactly like the original. We absolutely loved it !

We haven't had this wonderful gravy since Swiss Chalet's Fort Lauderdale, FL location closed. We always went out of our way when in Ft. Lauderdale to eat there, as the food was always excellent and at affordable prices, service was always top notch. We really miss them. At any rate, the dipping sauce tasted just like that served in the restaurant. We'll stock up!

My fault for not reading further into the questions. I didn't think I'd spend 7 dollars on a single packet. Guess that's what I get for not looking closer. Way cheaper to ask a friend from back home to just mail me a bunch

Maybe my memory is off but when i made tbis it had an overwhelming taste of cinnamon and it was not pleasant to me. I always had fond memories of Swiss chalet and it was always great but this was nof (for me) i read all of the great re iews, had high expectations but ended up being pretty disapointed.

Growing up in Buffalo, Swiss Chalet was always a great treat and to this day, still the best chicken I have ever had (yes, even beats the Fried Chicken by Thomas Keller of 'The French Laundry' fame!). The big secret to their great chicken was the marinade, use of a rotisserie and the famous dipping sauce!Folks... this is the real deal, it is THE sauce and tastes identical to what we all remember. So easy to make and combined with a chicken on the Ronco rotisserie, some fries and you're right back on Main St. in Buffalo, enjoying Swiss Chalet before a Sabres game!

I grew up in Canada - Swiss Chalet was always a treat for me. I am still a citizen of Canada despite the fact that my children are American citizens and occasionally I go back for a visit.This is NOT the same sauce....it has too many herbs and spices in it and I am extremely disappointed. It doesn't have the tomato tang of the original. I don't know how all these people are saying it's the same.....they must be paid off because any decent Canadian would know it's not the same thing.
