I guess I wasn’t expecting the size of the unit. It takes up more space on my vanity than I would like. However, it performs amazingly. It is super easy to use. And I don’t consider noise to be an issue. It will be quick and easy to keep my jewelry looking tremendous! I love for my bling to sparkle! Isn’t that the point?!

Last one of these ultrasonic cleaners I purchased lasted only 1 year of maybe 1x a month use. So after only 12 uses (at most) it was dead and could not be revived. This one has the switch in the lid, which I think might have been the problem last time out. When you emptied it the control panel is in the base and might have allowed some water to leak in?This provides a sound that seems like it is working hard. The water was dirty, so it definitely was working. The way this one works is press the button and it runs for 3 minutes and it shuts off. The blue LED however that lights the inner stainless steel bowl however stays on until you unplug it.All in all I hope this goes better than the last one. It seems like a good build quality on first use.

I had bought a 3-stone simulated diamond ring a while back that couldn't be cleaned with a brush because the backing was enclosed with only little air pockets. As you can imagine, over time dirt and grime tends to build up in there and it made my diamonds look dull. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this ring and now I LOVE LOVE LOVE this GemOro Ultrasonic cleaner for bringing it back to its former glory! I did purchase a liquid jewelry cleaner to go with it just because I felt it couldn't hurt and could only help the cleaner to a better job. The only thing I'm not sure about is the timed settings for the cleanings which are something like -90,180,280,380,480 seconds. The instruction manual doesn't really explain what timer would be best for what is being cleaned. I just cleaned my rings on the longest setting twice (though I did see improvement after just one cycle, I did the second one for fun).Great price for an awesome product that does the job quickly and effectively. Since I've only used it once, time will tell how long and well it will last. I know some other reviews say it stopped working after a couple times, but that remains to be seen.

I'm somewhere between 3 and 4 stars and glad I bought it. I've only used this a few times over the last few months and it does a fair job at cleaning jewelry. It is by far no replacement for a professional cleaning that uses steam, but my jewelry is noticeably cleaner after using the GemOro.

This was a pretty good jewelry cleaner when I first purchased it. However, it did not clean anything well with just water. The few little packets of cleaner ate outrageously priced separately. I highly recommend getting the large GemOro bottle solution. It's not advertised near this item, just do a search. It is much more cost effective and in my opinion a better cleanser.There is just one tragedy to the design that makes this GemOro absolutely pointless to buy. As with other machines, this one has a plastic basket to put your items in. For some reason, it sits right on top of the bottom unlike others that have tiny peg legs. If a piece of metal you place in ever touches the bottom metal of this machine, you will destroy the tranducer. You may get by a few times, but soon GemOro becomes unusable. There is no way you could consistently keep metal jewelry from touching the bottom. For example, by placing a chain with small to medium links, eventually a link will poke through the basket.I highly recommend spending money on this machine with its flawed design that ensures its demise.

I worked well with the jewelry cleaner I purchased from Amazon. My wedding rings sparkle and a couple of bracelets that were somewhat tarnished came out very clean. I could see the bracelet tarnish in the jewelry cleaner, so I know it worked. I have only used this with some jewelry cleaner, although it says you can use water. Haven't tried that, so don't know about the results without actual cleaner.
