Worth the extra price not to endure Ikea, and better quality if you look closely.
Just what I was looking for.PRICE: I paid about $50 for 5 as packaged, so these ended up being roughly twice the price of the Ikea Marius stool which I've purchased in the past (perpetually on sale for $4.99). It was absolutely worth $25 not to have to drive to Ikea and wade through the hoards of humanity. Also, the Norwood came pre-assembled.QUALITY: While these look at first glance to be the same as the Marius, these are more solid and of slightly better quality with a weld rather than wiggly bolt at the center (see photo of underside comparing the two). The plastic of the seat is more dense in the Norwood stool, and they have a small "bumper" on the curved underside of each leg that prevents scratching when they're stacked.I don't know who copied whom, but the general design is great for an easy-to-store seating solution, and these stack up perfectly with my Ikea stools. I needed to purchase more to fill in what had walked off to be used in the back yard, etc.. These are so handy, they do tend to find their way to other places, including in front of the piano as their only an inch or so lower than my piano bench and easier to move.I use these for occasional workshops and trainings, so I want them compactly out of the way when I don't use them.POSTURE: Obviously these don't offer back support, but they allow for the sitter to position their weight over the sit bones, and this was key for my purposes. They're also quite stable.DOUBLES AS A TABLE: When we needed these for sitting/posture work, they were handy. The rest of the time, students end up setting their notebooks or water bottles on them, which was also handy... no need for a coaster! They're also quite lightweight and easy to grab with one hand when you need one or to herd back into their stack at any time.

Teacher Approved
Very sturdy. My coworkers by stools from ikea that always break. I’ve not have any break yet, and I had them for two years now. And that’s even after a few room clears. I’m a 1st grade teacher and use these for flexible seating. Kids love them. Definitely make sure the height works for your tables. I was able to raise the tables to accommodate these.

Like it
Feels sturdy enough to support average weight people. Probably will support more since the metal legs cross under the plastic seat. The plastic is OK but bends a little when you push on it in between the metal leg supports. Overall, it served its purpose as a patient chair in a medical office. I'm happy with it. I like the fact that it's small and inconspicuous and stackable. Easily stored.

Good stools, but abused by students :(
I purchased these stools for my high school classroom. They worked really well, but unfortunately, I could not keep the students from leaning in their chairs. They never broke, but by the end of the year the legs had been bent and bent back too many times for me to safely feel comfortable using them for a second year. Norwood sells a set of four tripod stools which are a bit sturdier. I'll be trying the tripod stools for this next year.

LOVE THESE!!
I LOVE these chairs!! I use them in my classroom and they are so easy to use, move and store! We can put them under the tables for more room or for students who prefer to work standing up. When the school year ended I literally stacked them as they are pictured in two stacks of 9! I highly recommend these to anyone in education or anyone who needs a good sturdy stool that is super lightweight for a great price!

Great for Classroom
Hold up way better than the Ikea alternatives! Last year I had 5 ikea stools in my classroom, and they were all broken by October. These have lasted all year and they're no worse for wear! Definitely would recommend. Especially with kids who aren't going to treat them very carefully.

Standing up well to my students
I bought 2 sets of the tools for my Resource classroom, and I have been very pleased so far. School has only been in session for 5 weeks, but no problems, yet, even for the students that I have to remind to keep "all four on the floor."

Teachers Beware
I bought these to use at my kidney table in my classroom. The first day I used them during groups, one of legs was bent. I'm assuming a student wiggled or leaned while on it, the kids are small and are well-under the weight capacity. Regardless, the seat is unusable. I'm sure they are fine if you don't have anybody that moves while seated, but definitely not something I would suggest using with children or in a classroom.
