Great story’s for sharing with your kids!

Got it for my 5 yr old. He loves StarWars and has been reading my Omnibus from DarkHorse Comics but needed aomething lighter for him. To read and carry around. This is just the perfect Xmas gift for him!!!! Had alrrady boght the lil'golden book Aliens ABC for my babygirl before and also recommend it.

My grandkids love these books. My grandson is 5 years old and he loves Star Wars so was perfect for him and his sister.

The art in these books is so eye catching. The stories are actually rather long too which is nice for a little golden book. And they do a good job of breaking down the plots to the movies as well. They even have great attention to detail. For example, Padme’s shirt is even ripped a little bit in the Battle Of Geonosis (which is of course my husbands favorite part of the prequel trilogy lol) Great books and I would definitely recommend them

These came tonight and, to fulfill a promise to my 5 1/2 year old son, I read them all to him, which took about 50-55 minutes. These are golden books in the sense that they do a good job minimizing or glossing over some of the violence (for example, Obi Wan is struck down, but no mention of his death and there is no explanation of how badly Anakin is mangled after his final battle before donning the iconic suit). All of the major plot points are hit in these books, so they are (1) great at giving the story and (2) super complex (the first three books in particular can be very confusing because of the the different factions). Thus, if you were imagining golden books with simplified story lines and easy to read words and concepts, think again.My son loved them and I'll probably have to get him an ewok stuffed animal (should have seen that one coming). The big take away is that these are awesome books that fully engage a child in the Star Wars universe but they are in no way easy or level appropriate for new and newer readers.Based on my son's response, I highly recommend them to you. As an avid Star Wars fan myself, I was looking forward to getting my 2 year old son acclimated to the universe far far away. This book set is a great intro for bedtime/storytime for young ones. The Little Golden Book series was a staple in my childhood as well, so I had no problem giving this series a shot due to the brand name and topic alone. However, I was not expecting the story to be as well done for toddlers or young children as it is. It follows the series (episodes I-VI) in a clear way that adults will remember, but also limits the violence and more adult tones as wont for a children's story. As such, I believe that I had had as much fun reading these to my son as he did looking at the vivid illustrations (he now loves Yoda!). Each book is perfect for short storytime and can be read through with a young one in 1-2 sittings easily. I am definitely a fan and will look to purchase the other Star Wars Golden Book titles (as well as the future episode VII edition hopefully!).

I bought these thinking it would be fun for my nerdy husband to share this world with our daughter, I had no idea she would become completely obsessed with these books, the characters and the whole Starwars UNIVERSE. it's so fun to see her completely enthralled in a magical place that she can share with my husband.Knocked off one star because the illustration style differs between books, it's hard to tell the difference between all the white dudes with pony tails if you're not super familiar with the story (especially in the one really generic illustrated one), and they leave out all the hand slicing which my toddler was really offended about 🤣
