5 - Star Purchase! No More Breakage!
Super comfortable and cool to the touch. Very pleasant to sleep on, and I have noticed an improvement in my hair! It's been very soft, and I haven't woken up with it feeling dry SINCE I slept on my cotton pillowcase last, which was about a week ago. I can't say I notice an improvement in my skin lately, but I do sleep better, and my neck feels better when I wake up. I feel comforted and almost cuddled as I sleep on my Spasilk Beauty Pillowcase. I was tempted however, to rate this product as a 4 because I was a little misled about the fabric. I thought this was pure silk, but I guess I should have known better... $9.44 for real, pure silk? Probably not gonna happen. However, even though this is polyester, it is super soft and non - scratchy, and as I said before, COMFORTABLE, which matters a lot to me. :)I have had a significant change in hair breakage...Before (sleeping on a cotton pillowcase): a small amount of breakage, little split end hairs on my pillow when I wake up, and dry brittle feeling hair, even if I condition/deep condition before I sleep AND sleep with my hair UP!! :(After (now sleeping on the Spasilk Hair Beauty Pillowcase from Amazon): NO breakage, and I've been sleeping with my hair DOWN most nights!! No stiff feeling in my neck, and no more sweating at night.:)) This purchase is overall a 5 - star purchase.

A must-have for curly girls!
Great deal for a curly girl like me who didn't want to break the bank!My hairdresser had been touting the benefits of silk/satin pillowcases for curly hair. I decided I wanted to see what the fuss was all about. Imagine my surprise when I saw the cost of silk pillowcases!I came across this pillowcase and decided to try it out. Thank goodness I did! Curly girls: this is a must! Second and third day hair still looks and feels as great as day one after sleeping on this pillowcase! After having this for a while now, I feel confident in saying this is a durable pillowcase. The material has held up just fine through multiple washes and daily use. It still feels silky and smooth. I have found it to be wrinkle resistant, which my OCD personality really likes. The case is designed with a fold over (almost like a pocket) end, meaning your pillow does not and can not slide out the end! I have had no trouble with it sliding off the bed overnight, either.Overall, I would recommend this pillowcase to anyone in the market for one! It's of great quality, looks fantastic, and is super gentle on your hair and face overnight!

So I bought this because I have pretty curly hair and someone (the Internet) told me to switch from cotton to silk/satin-y pillow covers to keep my hair from getting too frizzy in the morning. I've also heard its good for your skin because it doesn't dry you out.I bought two, picked them because they're cheap, I like the light green color, and they're machine washable. So far, I've technically used them for about two weeks, but my sleep has been pretty erratic and I've been traveling because of work so I'm not sure if it's really helping. My hair feels pretty much the same. I'll probably update this review once I've had the chance to use them consistently for a month (maybe after a month). The only thing that has consistently happened is that I wake up and the pillow is on the floor. Also not sure if that's me or the pillow.

Love!!!
Sooooooo soft! This is my first time using a silk pillowcase. I love it! So much that I bought one for all of my pillows. I no longer wake up with extreme bed head or lines on my face. They wash and dry very well. I will definitely purchase more.

Good for Hair, Probably not the Best for Your Face
I bought this pillowcase to prevent wrinkles/sleep lines. As many other reviewers have noticed, the description is a little misleading. It's not silk and while you can call it "silky," it is still just shiny polyester.I haven't had any issues with the pillowcase coming off. One reviewer suggested a zipper, which would be nice, but the pillowcase does have a 6" pocket that comes over the top of the pillow (see pictures) so it is not wide open. Understandably, if you are a violent sleeper, you might want to sew a button on it, but I think for most people it will stay on just fine.I washed it before use and it has been laundered twice since. This material type is prone to snags and fraying but I haven't had it long so it is holding up thus far.And after several washes, it still has that slight plastic/chemical/whatever fragrance that is always very strong when you first purchase something like this. This might be part of my problem. While my hair has been noticeably less crazy in the morning (read: less volume for those of us with fine or thin hair), I'm a little concerned about what it is doing to my skin. I can't be certain what triggered the reaction, so I won't say it is this pillowcase, but some irritant in my life caused my face to turn red and burn. Here is the surprising thing: against sensitive skin, this fabric is horrible. I can't exactly explain it because when you touch it, it feels smooth, but trust me, if you get a sunburn or a chemical peel or anything that irritates your face, don't sleep on this pillowcase. I ended up switching back to my old soft wrinkle-maker cotton pillowcase. Maybe it hurts because you slide more? I really don't know.Bottomline: I think this is a great pillowcase for the price if you have issues with your hair being tangled or frizzy and it comes in a variety of colors which is fun. This would also be ideal for someone that sleeps on their back as your skin won't be touching it. If you want to get something to help with wrinkles, I would probably go for something more of the "organic" or "natural" variety. You can't always tell if a product will work based on price because there are inexpensive things that work and expensive things that don't... but this is inexpensive and cheap (quality).
