Love! Quick Update.
This backpack is super lightweight and durable. Use for every trip. Great personal item on flight. The purple is very pretty. Holds a lot of stuff. I packed my mini cpap, toiletries, a light travel blanket, my mini purse with passports, etc. And a whole lot more! Also good for excursions on cruises. On a trip to Alaska. Spent a rainy day outside whale watching. The pack is water resistant but not waterproof. All my stuff got wet. Dry days this is a great pack.

Great bag
The media could not be loaded. I was looking for a backpack that would be durable and roomy with lots of pockets, but still be lightweight. This backpack checks all those boxes. There are two main zippered pockets - the one in the back is slightly than the front, but both are still quite large. The one in the front has two smaller slip pockets and one zipper pocket. The other has one large slip pocket and one zipper pocket. On the front of the bag there are two zipper pockets, and on the back there is a zippered dry pocket. I wasn't sure how I would like that, but it's actually really nice. It's big and easy to get into. There are mesh water bottle pockets on the sides, and I like that you can strap them in so they don't fall out. They're like little seat belts for your water :) The shoulder straps are comfortable, and there is a chest strap for added comfort. I find that when I use that, it makes the bag feel even lighter since it offers more support. There's a handy dandy emergency whistle on the straps. I haven't had need of it so I don't know how well it works, but it's a nice precaution. The zippers feel smooth and are easy to use. I got the purple, and the color is true to the photos. Beautiful deep purple.

Super pack.
Super lightweight, almost too many pockets, sturdy straps and zippers, the requisite side pockets for two water bottles, etc. Buying another cause I loaned one to a friend and she loves it too…

Good quality backpack.
This backpack is waterproof so great for trips to the pool. It is lightweight and has excellent zipper quality. Good dividers to store my clothes and keep my wet suit and oofoas separate

Better and expected, GREAT PRICE!
Love this backpack. Is just the correct size for hiking or just traveling. The colors are very cool! The material was thicker than I thought it would be, and it has enough storage areas with zippers to use with different items you might take in your walks or traveling. Very well priced!

Beautiful backpack - sturdy material and excellent features!
I love this lightweight backpack in light blue! It is a beautiful aqua color. The ripstop fabric seems very sturdy. I think that this backpack is perfect for a woman of average height, but may not work as well for a tall man or woman. It's actually not that large. I have a G4Free 40L backpack of similar design from several years ago and this 35L backpack is about one inch narrower at the bottom. If you can use it as a travel bag, that's great, but I'd find it a bit small for that. As a daypack for hiking it's perfect, though. Numerous features including many pockets and a front clip with whistle. The plastic lined zipped compartment is on the back of the backpack and it's fairly large - almost the full length of the backpack. This backpack is a bit heavier than my previous one (480 gm versus 314 gm), and it also has a bit more stiffness and rigidity to it. I'd be hesitant to fold it into the pouch for fear that the plastic in lined pocket would degrade over time. I just received it, so I haven't tested it out, but I'm really pleased with it so far! My old G4Free backpack is still going strong, but the fabric has gotten worn over time and it has two small tears that I covered with clear nail polish. It doesn't help that I've brought it to the beach and filled it with rocks and shells....See my photo for comparison of 40L backpack vs this 35L backpack. As you can see, the 35L backpack is considerably larger when folded into the front pocket that becomes the backpack storage sack. The logo on the 35L is sewn on rather than printed on as it is on the 40L model. If you were to examine these two backpacks side by side as I have done, you’d most likely agree that the 35L model has far superior construction. The selling features of the 40L are the smaller size for packing when folded, less weight and larger capacity. Both have same comfortable shoulder straps. Personally I believe that the 35L model is much more attractive and appears to be sturdier.

The perfect bag for cruising and cruise excursions!
The media could not be loaded. I was looking for a lightweight packable bag to go in luggage and be used for cruise excursions in Hawaii. I was mostly thinking it would be used for our snorkeling gear and initially I purchased two smaller ones. We took all of them on the cruise with us and quickly decided that it made more sense to take the larger and have that extra space especially since these bigger ones weigh not much more. And the straps on the side to help hold the water bottles made a huge difference. We tried the smaller bag and it didn't have straps to help with that and several times are tall metal insulated water bottles would fall out. Like when you're taking the backpack off or if you're using it on just one shoulder. But in this backpack the bottle was secured and kept in place between the netted section and then the strap that goes around the upper part of the bottle. I also really love that it has the built-in wet bag on the back side. Several times on excursions we would swim and then have wet items and we could stick them in there and they would not get anything else in the backpack wet. And when we would pack to head out to the excursion we would place our dry clothes in the built-in wet bag so that they would stay dry until we were ready to change clothes. Because most of our excursions were on boats and water related and sometimes water spray hits the backpacks. The backpacks went through many excursions with us and we're stuffed to the gills and functioned beautifully. I know I saw some complaints and reviews that the bags weren't sturdy enough but I think these are people who were trying to use them for long-term backpacks, like backpacks through Europe, etc. I think these are more intended for the type of purpose I was using them for. For my purposes they're definitely five star bags. And the weight of the empty bag is about 1.3 lbs.
