So far it has been very stable and appears to have a very low quiescent current. Very happy with it.

As with all Victron kit, this is well built. I bought it to replace and older Chinese PSW inverter on my boat that was functioning well but often resulted in a lot of 'hum' when plugging in audio equipment.The problem with the Victron is this, every time my fridge kicks (assuming something else like my laptop is plugged in) in the inverter trips and refuses to be reset even when the laptop is unplugged. It can take a full 10 minutes of trying before I can get it running again. So for the few hours it takes to charge the laptop I have to unplug the fridge... I checked the power needs prior to buying and was sure the 500w unit was plenty. We bought 2 of these, the other is on my friends boat, same battery setup, same cabling etc, the fridge is a different brand but similar spec, his unit works fine.My also trips out when I run the engines even if the only thing plugged in is the fridge, so again, while charging up I have to do without the fridge. This has resulted in the icebox of the fridge defrosting twice, losing the food it contains.I now have the old Chinese inverter back in place and running fine with everything plugged in, the Victron unit is wired in still and will be used via a seperate circuit to power audio gear.All in all pretty disappointing.

This is a good, solid inverter. My main complaint is that the VE direct Bluetooth module doesn't allow you to view wattage draw. It gives a bar chart type thing which is utterly useless. I don't understand how they could have made this big of an oversight. These are meant to be run off batteries, and knowing how much wattage you're using allows you to extrapolate how long your batteries will last. Very disappointed by this. If they add the wattage measurement in an app update then this( and the ve direct Bluetooth module) would be 5 star products.

I had a Victron for almost 4 years and then it failed, happily, while still under warranty. This is a replacement so I could say it works well, which is does, but time could easily show it to be faulty.At least Victron have that long warranty period so I feel a bit better knowing that this one is also covered for 4 years.
