Premium Grade Dried Morel Mushrooms (Morchella Conica) (1oz)

These mushrooms arrived in a vacuum-packed heavy-duty plastic bag. They were mostly or entirely intact (unbroken) and surprisingly uniform in size (as the picture shows). I haven't tasted them yet, but given their clean and well preserved appearance, I have every reason to believe they will be wonderful.Update... I still give these five stars. The first time I tried them, I lightly sauteed them in olive oil, and I was disappointed because they were quite rubbery, unpleasantly chewy. I posted a question about this, and several people responded that either I had not rehydrated them long enough (I did it about a half hour in warm water) or I had not cooked them enough (my habit is to cook things as little as possible). So I tried again. This time I rehydrated them overnight in the refrigerator, and I fried them thoroughly in butter. What a difference! They were much more tender, and the butter brought out the wonderful morel flavor that I remember from my childhood.

These Dried Morel Mushrooms are a fantastic value! After reading some negative reviews, from awhile ago, I was a little hesitant to order. So when my order came, I was amazed at the quantity and size. Just out of curiosity, I measured several and most of them average between 3 - 4 inches - before the stem portion! Considering how small the one in markets are (if you can even find them) and how much the sell for there, I feel like I have hit the jackpot!Look up online how to use them in sauces - you will be amazed at the flavor they add!

I purchased these morels in order to make Joshua Weissman’s Chicken Pot Pie. I have never eaten morel mushrooms before, but my family gobbled up the Chicken Pot Pie. My husband said it was the best one he ever had. Even my son had seconds. I was concerned that there would be dirt on them, since morels as supposedly notorious for being difficult to clean. But I didn’t have a problem. So happy I decided to get them. They really helped make the dish spectacular.

I added these to a mushroom chicken soup w/ a clear broth... They were pretty tasty but a bit tough. They have a stronger flavor then regular mushrooms, but mix well.But I have to say, taking in consideration the price, I cannot figure what the fuss is all about. They might be better cooked fresh-picked.

I haven’t had morels in a long time, so I thought I would give these a try. They were amazing. I rolled them in flour and fried them in butter. They were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I will definitely be ordering more.

I ate these morels around 2002 and I ate them from what a friend picked in Montana and picked fresh and were delicious. 2021 I ordered dried and watched the videos how to cook and all had fry. I did not fry and soaked, drained and ate one. Little did I know cannot not eat raw. It should say on your product DO NOT EAT UNCOOKED/RAW!!! Needs to be COOKED!!!!!! About killed me, lol. I lived and thank GOD I only ate one raw. Gonna take me while to get over that as I still have more. I need to savor the favor again like I remember...... when my friend made them = COOKED!!!!!!

for the price, it is worth it, but the flavor just isnt as good as I remember them being, fresh anyway. rehydrating them with water destroys the flavor probably

These are very high-quality morel mushrooms sold at a reasonable price. They were shipped with excellent condition and every mushroom was unbroken when the package arrived. These mushrooms taste very good, although they are dried, you can still taste a bite of nature from them. They are also very nutritious and full of natural vitamins. I make chicken soup with them and my whole family loved it. I strongly recommend this product to those who love morel mushrooms!
