Great value
Excellent quality for the price. Nib is true to stated size. Nice writer that stays wet when capped but unused for days. Nice feel and heft to it. Whether you are new to fountain pens or an experienced user this is an excellent pen.

Beautiful, writes well, all metal, kind of heavy
Okay, so I was really excited to try this pen out when it came. I met the guy at the door and probably concerned him with my excitement (to be fair, I'm usually away when my pens arrive).I used it right away, testing it out on a notebook that the North Dakota National Guard was handing out at an event (good quality paper for fountain pen writing, btw). Not a feather to be found anywhere. It did splat a little on the first quote, so I wrote out four more quotes to see if it repeated the splat. I think it was from the fact that it had just been filled, and I didn't completely wipe the excess ink after filling it.The surprising part was that while it did feather on the cheap cardstock from the dollar store, that feathering was surprisingly minimal.Overall, it writes well, it's beautiful, and it's all metal. If I had any sort of issue with it, it's that it is heavy. I bought it for myself, but it may be chosen as a gift for another some day because it's just a little heavier than I prefer my pens to be (though that remains to be seen as I use the ink up that's in it - Noodler's color Nightshade if anyone cares).

Heavy cap, light body
The pen is nice, writes well. My only complaint is all the weight is in the cap, which does not securely click onto the barrel, sometimes falling off while writing or moving around to grab things. If you push it down it will stay be a secure click of some type would be a nice addition. Once the cap is on, the pen is top-heavy but controllable.Still would make a great gift, to a great value.

The Best Fountain Pen I've Ever Used!!
Smooth, refillable, and the perfect weight for a heavy pen! I cannot stop using this pen. The craftsmanship is beautiful. Would make perfect graduation or retirement gift. Even for the office supply junkie such as myself. There are tutorials online that offer how to refill your cartridges and to properly care for your pen. As a lefty, I have found it difficult find a fountain pen that wasn't designed for right-handed users, the Hongdian 6013 surpassed my expectation in every way. Thank you!

Totally blown away for the quality of this pen!
I am VERY impressed. I love the pleasure and satisfaction of writing, inking and well... collecting fountain pens... I have like 34 being the Visconti Vertigo my top tier.... Yesterday I bought on Amazon for US$18 the "Hongdian 6013 Matte Black" with F Nib, just because the picture looked amazing and it is made of full metal... Never heard about the brand but the price was right... I am totally amazed by the quality!! It is truly on the $120 spectrum of brand-name pens! It is very very well made, heavy, solid, inviting to write.... The nib is surprisingly smooth, well aligned from every angle and the ink flow is flawless!!

Nice but not versitle.
I like the weight. Feels good in the hand. The cap does not post. If you try it will pop off while writing.

Finally found a pen that writes consistently.
This pen is almost boring. As soon as it arrived, I filled it with Waterman Brown Ink. Blotted the excess off the nib and drew a line. Then some circles, swirls, my signature. The ink flow was perfect on the first stroke. The line weight does not vary. I rolled the pen to try different angles (even picked it up without my glasses and tried it upside down) and it was amazingly responsive. Tried some simple drawings too. So far, it doesn't skip either. Instantly my go-to pen.The pen has some heft to it, which I enjoy. The matte black titanium finish gives it a serious look. The EF nib is what I've been looking for, providing good control for drawing.Looking forward to seeing how it responds after a day or so of inactivity. Meanwhile, I will keep my Pilot Metro, Dryden Designs, Jinhao, Woodsworth & Black pens. Keeps me busy washing, refilling etc. ;)

Nice Weight, Nice Look, but with some minor flaws
I will talk about 1) package and delivery; 2) the good of this pen; 3) some minor flaws1) Package and DeliveryWell wrapped with bubble wraps. The case, as you can see, is a simple matte textual silver color metal box. The pen looks and feels so much nicer than the box that the box doesn't feel like the right match. But if this is the cost saving measure for giving me the awesome pen, then I say "please!" One star taken off for "Giftable" because of the case.2) The Good of This PenThe actual product looks as advertised, and even feels as advertised. Beautiful and hefty describe it well. I got the one with "Fine Nip," which writes a bit too wide for my taste. But I really don't have much to say except praises, and too much praise would make me seem fake. I will therefore stop here.3) Some Minor FlawsFirst of all, when I start writing and put the pen cap to the end of the pen, the cap doesn't stay firmly attached. It loosened up for a few times and I need to really force it tight. I wish the mechanism is done better. Then, the weight, although feels nice, can fall on the heavy side. I am an adult male with regular exercise routine, and this pen feels heavy by just a bit. This is especially true when I put the pen cap to the end, which gives the end of the pen more weight and makes it more uncomfortable to write. Admittedly, I can leave cap on the table and solve the issue. This is why I find it a minor flaw rather than something major.
