Last bag I just got, says dark brown, but it looks and tastes like light brown sugar.

By far THE BEST dark brown sugar I've ever bought! It's silky soft, NO clumps, and amazing flavor. There was an initial mix up with my order but the customer service from this company is way beyond awesome. They definitely have a a new customer for life. Tons of products to choose from. Go on, give them and this product a try. You won't be disappointed.

For some reason "real" dark brown sugar has all but disappeared from grocery shelves (and apparently from among Amazon sellers). I have been adding molasses to the dark brown sugar (now marketed by Domino as dark) after discovering that there is essentially no difference between their dark and light brown sugar. I was really hopeful that the "old-fashioned dark brown sugar" that I ordered via Amazon would be just that, dark brown. The color difference is minimal and the taste is identical - no hint of molasses which is what makes dark brown dark. I am very disappointed. I guess I'll go back to the messy task of stirring in molasses until I get the right color and taste!

Can't find real Dark Brown sugar in the stores anymore. This is the real deal. Perfect for my chocolate chip cookies and on my oatmeal. It was worth the extra cost for me. Came packaged in double plastic so it didn't dry out over the 9 months it took me to finish off 5 lbs.

I use a lot of brown sugar during applesauce making time. This sugar is the best. Great flavor, soft, and lots of it.

I am very disappointed. I expected a rich DARK brown sugar and received light brown sugar.
